I have been running the 100x80 with great success weekly. Yesterday and today, howeverit won't matter a buy eur/usd, just a sell. It's done this with a few other pairs as well. I have tried on two different computers, both with ibfx mt4, both in my live account and with different demo accounts. Anyone else having this issue. Can it be an end of the week trading problem? I have read bob's issues with ibfx, and wonder whether he believes this is associated.
Try this first. Have a currency where the buy has functioned and save that template. Then place that template on the ones that aren't functioning and see if this solves the problem. Open up the program and compile it. Yes I've had some problems but I chalk that up to getting 6-8 MT4s working in my pc with some of them running up to 22 currencies. Also I alter the Magic amount on occasion. I understand IBFX has a limit on the amount of trades you can do but I dont know whether this has anything to do with it.

If you are near a margin call with several positions open, which could you shut first? I am referring to some 100x80 several levels deep on several transactions. I am trading 8 pairs beginning at .10 at a 2,000 account.
I was wondering what 8 pairs you're trading today, as my account dimension is about the same as yours and I am planning to start live trading soon.

I've an account at FXDD, intending to start at .01 (mini lot), $.10 a pip trading. Is the trading 1.00 a pip or $.10? That is, I am rather confused by the lot sizes posters are referring to. Apparently, FXDD and IBFX call their lot sizes.

Lastly, do you use the default settings with 100x80? Otherwise, what are the settings?

    Good luck!

    Hey Michael,

I picked the following 8 pairs for 3 reasons. 1, they're in Nanningbob's listing. 2they have the most narrow pip spread of this 12 Bob recommended. And since Bob utilizes a 3,000 account for trading and I use a 2,000, I use 2/3 as numerous pairs.

    Eurusd
    usdjpy
    gbpusd
    usdchf
    usdcad
    audusd
    eurjpy
    eurchf

I do not know what average results ought to be, however I conducted these every day for approximately 12 hours for three days and made $135. Not bad for my first week as a Foreign Exchange trader. On 2,000 thats roughly a 300% annual return on investment. I really don't believe I was ever down over $150 in equity in any particular time, so margin calls are certainly not an issue for now. Remember I am as new to this as you can, so use my advice with caution!

Jthomas, I did not realize that you were fairly new at FX. Congratulations. IMHO, you picked a very good system to begin with.
    Hey Michael,

I picked the subsequent 8 pairs for 3 reasons. 1, they're in Nanningbob's list. 2they have the narrowest pip spread of this 12 Bob recommended. And since Bob uses a 3,000 account for trading and I utilize a 2,000, I utilize 2/3 as numerous pairs.

Thanks a lot for sharing your listing!

I am planning to trade the following 8 pairs:

    AUDCAD
    CHFJPY
    EURCHF
    EURGBP
    EURUSD
    USDCHF
    USDJPY
    AUDNZD (35x20 or 35x25)

As you see, my list differs from yours slightly. Rather than AUDUSD, EURJPY, GBPUSD, and USDCAD, I chose AUDCAD, CHFJPY, EURGBP, and will throw in AUDNZD with either 35x20 or 35x25 Technique. It is only that the recent volatility of EURJPY and GBPUSD worries me a little bit. Because of AUDUSD and USDCAD, Bob recommended to not match a major with a little if I remember correctly.

You wrote that you had run daily for around 12 hours for three days, I had been wondering if you had a particular trading session or set (routine ) trading hours. As I Reside in the West Coast, I plan to trade the Japanese session, beginning at 4:00 PM PST and final at around 2:00 AM PST (start of the European session). I would rather wait till the start of the US session. I could stay up until 2:00 AM OK, however, it would be rather too much of a hassle for me to get up at 5:00 AM PST and things like that.

    Today I might have...
Thanks, I have played with a 60x40 on some pairs with adequate results. I compare and will look at this.
