    FMillionaire,

Every start trader encounters that and sometimes a trip to Vegas seems like it'd be profitable. BUT, stick to it and keep learning. With conclusion days will come.
That is what I keep telling my wife. She objects to the amount of time I have dedied to this.... And is convinced I am only wasting my effort. Effort which can be put to far better use... doing the housework!!!!!

I've read it now. That has opened my eyes. I can see where I could improve. I've opened another trial account, where his method for myself'm trying out. It'll be interesting to see how it goes. Finally, I will probably combine his egy with other ideas... but we will see.

That is exactly what I keep telling my spouse. She objects to the amount of time I've committed for this.... And is convinced I'm only wasting my attempt. Effort which may be put to far better use... doing the housework!!!!!
First, get rid of the question mark in your name, there is no place for negative thoughts from the FX market loion LOL.
Secondly, I'm not here to tell you which time frame to perform, I'm sure once you've done enough studying in this Forum you'll end up, like me, somewhere different to where you started.
I would say is start here, it's a very long read but it's the best time you'll ever spend during non-trading hours.
In a few months the background sound from your spouse will fall, to this point my spouse doesn't even ask today' how will be the zig-zags going', I have to tell her.
Keep the faith bro', there is light at the end of the tunnel.

First, eliminate the question mark in your title
It was actually supposed to be Future Millionaire? . . But the forum can not cope with long names.
I needed to put the question mark... or it would seem too over confident. I am optimistic, but cautious.

It was really supposed to be Prospective Millionaire? . . But the forum can't cope with long names.
I had to set the question mark... or it would seem too over confident. I am hopeful, but cautious.
    I agree with PeterFM,

You should confidently assert your future. Sure, there could be obstacles
and there must be tough work, But it is possible. You've come to the right spot for positive reinforcement.

There's light at the end of the tunnel, see my avatar and signature.

I've just edited my touch... see if it shows.

I am on the'failing' bit in the moment... but that I will triumph.

I thought I'd try to trade the calendar events.
Just today, the USD posted results, better than expected, green on the calendar. My thinking, USD should go up.... yes? So I went on the cable. (USD up ... therefore GBP down).

    Why did it go up?
Ha. . .isn't just the thing. . .you didn't make it wrong, you just didn't get it right. . .no big thing.

News trading isn't always cut and dry. What it seems like is you got caught in the bottom of the move. At the time of the news event, the dollar failed to receive an uptick, and even today spots are reduced against the dollar than they had been before the release. . .which means the news even reacted as expected...

Everything you didn't get right was that the timing of your entry or the anticipation of the continuation of the downward pattern. Most news releases have been knee-jerk reactions until they reveal the real market sentiment. In this particular case, the market believes the news is dollar positive, but not worthy of a drop off the cliff. Your position may still end up being correct.
