    Everyone,

in the event that you knew half of what I know about some of those guys ....

All of them play the sport at a much different level than you can imagine. Most of what they do isn't applicable to retail FX.
I'm interested in how Bruce Knover perform with the FX market. Any difference in the own style ? Are they the market mover ? Please elaborate. Thx. .

Yeah, I was believing our own Vegas and Franz Shoar must at least be candidates for such a list....

Zanger is intriguing to me personally. He left (and then almost lost) his fortune at the 90s inventory bull market/early 2000s bear market. His money management was far early on. He went from $11,000 to $18 million under 2 decades. . .then lost a chunk that was good. Apparently he's stabilized to a more consistent trader nowadays.

While he has not made nearly as much as others, he left his stake completely as a private trader. (He now has a newsletter/subsciption website, but that didn't come together until he was famous.) I am pretty sure the majority of the others left the bulk of their fortune as money managers. While there is nothing wrong with handling capital, it is very improbable that the average trader could possibly have a chance to accomplish that. But someone like Zanger shows us that It's possible to make it on your personal...

I vote incorporating vegas to the setup there

What I liked reading about dan zanger is that he started off as a ski bum and an ordinary joe but trades from an 88 foot yaught. Reminds me of Sir Larry trading his boat off in the film Wall Street

Kovner has some very high level authorities eduion, he had been getting his PhD from Harvard before he left. He is supposed to be extremely brilliant. He trades long term from fundamentals. The chances that you're going to have the ability to exchange like Kovner are nearly nil, and thus don't try. You require massive resources and a knowledge base that you just don't need.

That's what Vegas is talking about. These men trade at a totally different level because of the resources at their disposal. They're able to do things such as break central banks, swing markets, and also do huge quantities of fundamental research. Also, at that stage you can not just execute a trade and leap right into a position, they must perform their entries and exits differently.

E.g., Kovner purchased a few oil tankers to find out how oil goes through transport routes. Who can do that type of stuff? Not a billionaire hedge fund manager, although you or I could.

I concur with FxLogic post. A guy like Zanger is impressive because
he is an independent trader trading probably his own cash or his a few close friends. He did what he did without all the support staff that others have @ his or her disposal. If we apply ourselves what he has realized anyone of us may do exactly the same. Hats off to the man I say.
