    kharvells Trades

This diary is for me and my different ideas. 1 thing will always stay constant in this diary, which is I will always place my transactions. Everything else; such as my approach is subject to change.

I have thought up a new egy that interests me greatly because:
    1) It keeps most transactions INTRAday meaning that I enter at around open and depart at around close for almost all transactions. For all those of you that do not understand mepersonally, this is a big deal because I typically always carry trades for a while.

    2) It seems to outperform whatever (such as BB) I have thought of to this point in time

    3) I will most likely trade just 2-3 MAYBE 4 pairs

Therefore, I will be using this procedure to start with, until I think of something BETTER. According to backtests, I must be right about 60 percent of the time, so adjust your risk accordingly.

    ALSO,
I invite this thread to be a discussion of EVERYONE'S trades. I WANT there to be debate about possible trading opportunities, and I WANT there to be help for everyone!

    Best wishes,

    Kevin

I found a good chance to go long EUR/CHF again.

    Long EUR/CHF @ 1.6661
    S/L = 1.6608

    Long GBP/CHF @ 2.4643
    S/L = 2.4587

    Hey guys,

I love all the concern and what not, but I was only on vaion in Long Island, NY enjoying amazing East Hampton for my 4th of July

With this being said, I am taking a rest from this journal to take time out to actually focus on my trading rather than responding to the onslaught of newbie questions I seem to inevitably get (No offense newbies ).

I believe I have reached a point in my trading at which I have heard hundreds of bells and whistles to boost my trading, and now will be good for me to mix and match to make something that is great in my mind.

    Just some soul searching....

See ya when I am done,

    Kevin

Alright! Let us get this thread rolling!

That I have resolved to give up about the method I mention above and to just stick with what works

A couple of pairs have been lining up for some pip carrying:

    Short CAD/JPY
    Extended USD/CAD

I will post my trades at around 10PM CST tonight.

So, are you using BB signals afterall? As you probably already know, I have been learning more of the Bollinger Band stuff and have recently started adding in Candlestick/Price Action also. Still mucking around with the Demo account.

I was looking at the USD/CAD. . .what would you like about it ? That which I see (on the Daily chart) indies more of a sell-off. While price is currently postponed at an established venture, the 20 SMA is shooting down as is a few other MA's I plot. Are you really looking long due to possible short-term retracement or are you looking long longer-term?

    Randy

P.S. - Right now I don't find any obvious Candlestick clues. In my chart, the 2-23-07 bear candle's actual body was too big to qualify as a Hammer.

    Hey Randy

Great to hear from you! I have decided to still use Bollinger Bands for now; unless something better comes along. I had a look at USD/CAD again, and it looks like my sign disappeared, so I didn't take the transaction. I expect it to retrace here shortly, but I'm not sure to what extent that the retracement will be. It's good to see that you are utilizing Nison's ideas, and I look forward to hearing from you on potential signals you are seeing(that I am not) I feel that utilizing price action and BB's could be a deadly combination if harnessed properly, so keep up the good job, and I shall probably be taking the same route at a slower rate because of my busy schedule.

A brief in EUR/JPY emerged, so that I took that rather than USD/CAD.

Here are my two new trades for now:

    Short EUR/JPY @ 158.81
    T/P = 157.65
    S/L = 159.80

    Short CAD/JPY @ 103.84
    T/P = 102.98
    S/L = 104.65

BTW, since I have started keeping a record of my trades(2-1-07), I'm up 442 pips. I will start my overall Pip count from that stage.

    GOOD LUCK!

Since Kevin is fine enough to get us post with him, I will throw out my transactions for the day. (Only one really )

    Short EURJPY @ 158.76
S/L @ 159.66 (My ATR was roughly 90 so thats what I went with)
    T/p @ 157.90 (marginally above my sma)

I originally also saw a long on CAD aswell, plus a short on Euro but decided they were not very attractive to me.

Here we go again... can this thread be as powerful as the previous ones!

let me jump onto the EUR/JPY bandwagon...

    Entry: 159.02
SL: 159.85 (20 pips above record high)

As I write this, EUR/JPY is at 158.04, so we're all LOOKIN' GOOD!
