Hi all. Personally I don't think there's a ideal pair to trade - it's a matter of what you'd rather. Barring news/economic occasions, a few pairs have better trend movements than others, a few range a lot more, etc., etc..

IMO - you should trade what is suitable to you. My issue is I am fairly new to Forex and I really don't understand which pairs I can trade in the days of the day that I'm awake.

My timezone is -5GMT and EUR/USD appears to be more active throughout the 2AM-8AM period for me. I do not mind USD/JPY as a lot of men I've spoken with seem to dislike it.

The suggestion I would make from a newbie point of view is to pick a couple pairs and learn them. That way you understand their patterns on the technicals and have an notion about what to anticipate the fundamentals.

I've attached a few screenshots simply to display - it doesn't really matter the pair you trade. You can make profit off some of these. The spread/swap/technicals/fundamentals may change how things go, but you simply have to find your trading platform and stick with it.

    My 2 cents.

I concur. There's no universal best pair to exchange, everyone have their own favourites for various reasons. Much such as more volatile pairs, others such as less volatility. It is a matter.

In my opinion I dont think there's any thing like pair. . .The most important thing is how much chance a currency can provide. . .All traders are slaves to volatility....Its Simple Volatility=Opportunity= Money....My personal favorite GBP/JPY - GBP/AUD - GBP/CAD

Hi guys, I start this post to see what's your opinion regarding the top pairs to trade! Share your opinion!! Best regards Linveste
Usually major currency pairs are great to trade. They're more predictable. But the best pair actually varies individual to individual. For me I only trade GBPUSD. I know this pair more than other pairs. Trading is all about discovering your trading edge. You need to determine which pairs works best for you. It's a trail and error procedure. Keep patience and keep going.

As a new Forex trader according to me the best pair is the pair which has most comfy narrowest trading spreads which is really supportive to predict the actual faction of the market with absolutely. And lowest spreads brings great result.

For me, there is no definite'best' pair to trade, but it boils down to what is your trading style and approach towards the market.

For example, if you're a trend trader, you want to select pairs that are trending well. And assume that the market only fad 20-30% of the time, you'll need to get a rather wide portfolio in your watch list to possess sufficient chances to ride the tendencies.

On the flip side, if you're using a range bound methodology to participate the market, you want to do so otherwise - you want to select pairs that are ranging.

And based on the way holistic you want to approach, you can just choose which pairs are trending/ranging predied on specialized alone; or you may also include the central banks analysis and fundamentals to find out if there's any deviation between two currencies, thus providing you a notion which pairs to lookout for.

Hope my views are useful and gave you a different perspective

Actually there are no difference between different currency pairs for newbie traders.
New trader can choose any pair which he think he is going to be interested and spend some time on analyzing relative trend.

At this time I am demo trading EUR/USD. I personally believe as a novice trader it's sensible to exchange just 1 pair, till you have a feel for the market.
I suggest to modify pair. Bandwidth is large, but also a lot false signs, and false brakes. Attempt to focus on such as GBP, JPY with other popular, but for beginning without EUR and USD, and utilize bigger time frame, for ex at least 15M.

Your very best chance is when you exchange a weak currency against a strong one, any pair that is fulfilling that standards is fantastic to trade so long as the spread isn't to big.
