    Gaz Robot Trader

Hi Gang just to allow you to know I have been backtesting a mechanical trading method a well respected professional trader gave me a very long time ago. The fact it makes money is proof this man knew what he was talking about.

    Anyway here is your machine.

On a 1HR chart bracket the GBP/USD bar that closes at 8AM BST set a buy order over that pub and a market order under it.

Once in a commerce the order not triggered becomes the halt. You can remove that prevent order and replace it with an OCO together with the other leg of OCO as your limit order, so you can then walk away from the PC.

STOP other side of trigger candle.

    RULES
Bracket shouldn't be over 50 pips including spread. Even better if it is 45 or less. That way if you've got a state 3 losses in a row another 3 wins will need to 15 pips ahead.

NOTES. I have only backtested this egy back 2 months. As that is as far as my metatrader indior goes. Should you know of an EA that allows me to test further please let me know. During the period between August 12 2009 and October 8 2009 my test returned 801 pips based on the above criteria using a single lot.

If you would like to backtest further please do this and post your results. I have looked at multiple exits and from my experience they are not beneficial since your losses are times as big but you wins aren't.

    Your ideas loved

I'm curious then as to why you've bracketed 8 candles?

What's your profit target for this system? Can you take for 1-1 risk-reward?

Because my systems sometimes hangs and once I was bracketing those candles it was carrying sooooooooooooo long to maneuver that mount about the screen. Especially cos my sys was performing a virus scan in the same moment. If you look to the left of the candles on that chart you will see they're daunted by the candles that we're concerned with from 1am to 2am New York period and are consequently ireelevent. Here is a screen shot of this chart I used to backtest.

As you can see in the chart the furst installation only just qualifies as a trade. The second setup doesn't.

P.s. I figured out how to find this indior to go back further and am working backtesting further as we talk

That has been explained in the setup details. It is 50 pips profit and prevent can be anything below 50 pips. Sometimes risk has been half that of reward. Sometimes it is not really great. Do your own testing. I have been trading for 2 decades and would never expect anything anybody said and would always want to establish something for myself. It is wise to do the same or you could eliminate a whole lot of cash.

    Gazman,

I did a Guide backtest for the month of September. Sorry. . .the results finished with -49 pips to the month, There were 5 transactions that exceeded 50 pips and were no-trades.

If this way is long-term profitable, I would be sincerely shocked, rash, and...

Hmm.. .from ur place it look like U doing just good...
Why U looking for an EA if U can exchange by urself, employing an EA is only going to reduce the use of Emotions but Mind U, if U using ur own method and when U can control ur Emotion without the aid form an EA afterward U are on the best way to be a Master trader.

the system appear amazing...I think better to have small cs range (less than 30pips). . .so we could minimize loss and earn triple profit..good for risk reward...

I connected the template indior to backtest the system readily...

    example good commerce installation...

Hello gang I had a query about the bracket. You bracket the candle between 7AM and 8AM BST. The time displayed on the chart example I supplied is New York time. It also include a few additional candles on the left which are of no relevence. Also I actually prefer to bracket 15 min candles which is what I have done on the chart supplied. 4 x 15 min candles is exactly the same matter as bracketing the one hourly cocktail
