I've offered to pay for the premium services, but they only said they would do it free of charge and post it on the site. This is not a fantastic practice in my opinion. Why wouldn't they have let me pay for a personal algo developed? Are they reduced level programmers paid by FXCM? It is very mind boggling.

In regards to FXCM programming services, I'd been quoted $600 for the reversal of 15 lines of code which is a joke at best, so I could only speculate about what a egy developed by them could cost.
    Hello Mfoste1,

The FXCodebase.com website is supposed to be a free community where people can discuss progr. That is why they don't have a paid support. The FXCM Programming Services section is where you can get professional aid. The minimum they bill for almost any job is 600, so it might not be worth it for a short program, but could be worthwhile for a more complex program. They also usually offer a means for you to get your program coded free of charge, if you deposit money in your FXCM account or fulfill certain trading quantity requirements. If you were curious about those options, you may http://www.fxcm.com//programming-services-form.jsp.

Hello, I enjoy LUA and do all my programming in LUA. I've made some fantastic algo's that function on FXCM's platform with LUA and might love to try them out on single stocks and all the commodities so does anyone know of a stock or complete commodity platform I can import my LUA indiors (apart from fxcm) to WITHOUT converting the terminology. Thank you

    Hello chrisaforex!

Thank you for your post and query about LUA. I haven't seen any other platforms that use LUA to code customized egies, but I also haven't seen every trading platform on the market, so don't hold me to it! Remember that even should you find another platform which utilizes LUA, the particulars of this language and API might not convert correctly (e.g. the order of events, flags, strings, etc. ) could be different).

FXCM has a fantastic programming team that can focus on converting languages to you, or provide consulting hours, based on what you are looking for.

Have you coded in other languages, chrisaforex? How did it go?

You do not have to use LUA. FXCM has also C and C# based trading platforms.
I have just registered, so can not PM yet. Have a egy I Want to code for Trade Station. Supposed to be quite simple. Please, anybody who can assist, e-mail me to talk details.

    Thank you
