I became a part of the forum. As a beginner I spent the majority of the first 2 years analyzing various trading systems posted here, utilizing some of these on demonion accounts and (sadly) a few on my account. Finally I created two of my own which I use with small modifiions up for this day. On the other hand, the old hobby isn't dead. I test nearly everything. Occasionally I find a new concept, a fascinating indior, even a fantastic system which may be made profitable with some adjustments.

However, the really fun part is to follow what happens to these systems over the weeks and years that follow the initial post. They've a life of their own and seem to follow exactly the same path, over and over again. Countless progr, thousands upon thousands of posters and articles #8230; and nothing actually changes. To me their development is currently more than predictable and that I#8217;m convinced there are lots of others who've noticed the same patterns.

1. Here#8217;s my holy grail! The OP tells us a little about himself, the principles of the system, some charts carefully picked with entries/exits that worked great. He informs us that he8217;s been very successful with the system.
2. The fan club is created! The first individuals who post are those who have a few winning trades using the principles originally posted. They become groupies and whatever takes place in the future they'll defend the system when it#8217;s obviously failing miserably.
3. The newbies are here! Individuals who know almost nothing about trading, Metatrader or indiors begin asking questions such as ";where do I place the mq4 along with tpl files? "; #8230; ";how many lots should I input? "; #8230; ";what time is it in lt;insert placegt; when London opens? "; #8230; ";does this job with no stop loss? "; and so on.
4. You#8217;re a legend Sir! Following the beautiful charts with a bunch of winning transactions and the very sensible answers given to the questions asked by the army of beginners that the OP gains the unofficial name of super-trader. The amount of articles grows exponentially. Everybody is happy, doubling the accounts is round the corner, and from there it#8217;s just a matter of months until making it to Forbes.
5. We want more indiors! Market conditions change and the system loses money a couple of days in a row. Clearly it has to be corrected. How? By incorporating more indiors to filter out the bad transactions. It#8217;s very easy, isn#8217;Can it be? Just add something which would have kept one out of the past losing trade. It doesn#8217;t thing that the very same filter would also prevent one from taking lots of the transactions that proven to be winners. Nobody bothers to backtest this. So #8230; let#8217;s include the stochastic #8230; the 200 EMA #8230; analyze the greater time frame #8230; assess that the daily range #8230; place the Renko bars to smooth it8230; the TDI operates greatest #8230; I'd add the Bollinger bands #8230;
6. The systemS are all here! Since everyone is currently euphorically adding indiors and rules we no longer have one system. We have anywhere from 3 to 10 versions of the system, some of which having actually very little in common with the original rules.
7. Chaos reigns supreme! Together with those new additions and individuals posting like mad charts and results with different setups nobody understands precisely what#8217;s moving on. The thread is filled with requests such as ";can anyone point me to the latest official version of the system? ";
8. We want them robots! We understand how great the system is it#8217;s time to request some great coders to make an EA. Which version of these principles should he use? We can try out several #8230; maybe one will work.
9. Nah #8230; dem robotz not any good! The EA is dropping because we humans can see and sense things about trading8230; it comes with experience. So let#8217; forget EA outcome, forget, and let#8217;s just trust the tens of thousands of pips reported from the groupies. The system has to be good, no doubt!
10. It#8217;s just that small thing left to do! After a while, noticing that a high amount of folks posting in the thread have mixed or even bad results, somebody has an epiphany. All we will need to make the system truly great is a sign or something to tell us whether the market is trending or ranging. But maybe not yesterday or last week or last hour. What is it GOING to do next?
11. It is good for me! So we're left with all the OP and his followers asserting that the system works beautifully, all of them make tens of thousands of pips each week. We have a few others who claim that it#8217;s dropping time and others receive so-so results. And the huge majority still keeps trying to find that extra index that will make the system ideal.
12. There#8217;s a new kid in town! A couple of months later most people left the building. The OP the Majority of the times. Nobody understands why. Are they so incredibly rich that submitting oncliqforexis not interesting? Or maybe the system isn't so good after all? But hey #8230; who cares? Were you aware that new system? That one is truly great!
