    Tdions Corner

    Greetings.

I have been off for awhile. Stepped back from Forex and spent a lot of time on myself these past months.

I got a wild hair to check out the charts again last night, and then I started thinking about what I was seeing. I whipped out some MQL and following a few hours, had a wonderful profitable EA.

The key thing I should note is, I have changed a lot since I joined cliqforex in 2005. I was a fulltime Computer Science student, and my thinking warped. Everything needed to be controlled. Everything was put into some sort of percentage matrix and measured to the Nth level.

These days I'm a lot more chill. I think a small amount of the engineering stuff is fantastic for Forex, but maybe not the only. That's where I'm. No more a quant.

The new EA transactions on daily EURUSD charts. It's a breakout system, also reveals 15,500 pips over the previous 20 years. The older EA I wrote $hit the bed after Lehman Brothers dropped.

Therefore, I am willing to exchange my EURUSD egy to somebody that has an equally profitable egy for your GBPUSD or another pair. Quid pro Quo. The 15,500 are extremely realistic pips, accounting for a 2 pip spread.

Well, enough boring stuff. I will write more later.

    True.

Only wrote a retracement function. Pip count is up to 22,500.

The EA I wrote this past year was trading H1 price action patterns. Too much chaos. Especially last year.

The new EA is trading just D1 breakouts. When EURUSD moves down and up, this EA seems to do a wonderful job of ching some of their momentum. If a trade turns against it, it reenters a new trade hoping for retracement.

Clearly there are no guarantees. This is a 20 year backtest.

PM me if you have anything with similar results for the GBPUSD or any other pair. I don't want to be trading just EURUSD.

The chart I posted doesn't have any cash management. It's trading 0.1 lots each transaction, where every pip is worth a $.

Raw performance showing pip drawdowns. 2006 and 2007 not so great, because you can see in the dip.

My brother tolerating my forex rants for years on end. Finally one day he said , Is it worth a $hit? My brother is an MBA (well, after 2 more classes.) I have gotta agree with him.... Is my stuff worth a hit?

    You tell me....

This is what I've... 1998-2010, 20470 pips, depending on the spread, max drawdown 900 pips.

I say it is worth a hit.... I say it's gotta be something... 12 years and 1770 transactions.... No scalping for 1 or 2 pips, but everywhere from 25 to 70 per commerce.... It has gotta be something....

I'd be cautious to develop egies in MT4, the volatility in every bar is extremely high because of the interpolation of ticks.

Instead use tick info, the only broker that I know of with actual tick data is JTrader, nice developing platform you should attempt it.
