thread: Which brokers pay the best pip-to-dollar ratio?

    Is there a list or does somebody know which brokers pay well for pips?

    hey fiat.... It appears you're following the tickvalue paid per broker.... And yes, the eurgbp mentioned on your other thread pays the most at ibfx, 16.56.... However does it really offer you the best bang for your buck....

    To determine the best account bang% you might have to factor in marginrequired.... Increasing the margin demanded reduces the maximum number of lots per 1000$ which lessens the bang.... Or float....

    If contemplating margin required, the nzdchf returns the most, 68, with ibfx.... eurgbp, 60.... Those values will vary slightly over time as price does...h

    I am a new member and I am trying to follow this thread. Seems there is a misunderstanding by a few members for words such as pips and swap rates.
    Since these may certainly be confusing to the novice trader, such as myself.
    Perhaps someone can clarify these terms in layman's terminology? Thanks

    To clarify my original question, all I meant was do all brokers pay the exact same on EURUSD by way of example, if it transfers 100 pips? If everybody purchased EURUSD @ 1.36050 and obtained profit @ 1.36150 = 10 pips (or 100 pipettes) and we all traded 0.1 lots, will we all get the same profit from different brokers?

    I felt absurd asking my original question judging by a few answers, but I didn't know so thought I'd ask; Hayseed knew what I meant, so thanks for the info.

    @Tigress
    Pips = price difference.
    If your broker uses 5 decimal places for price on several logos then the 5th decimal place is a fractional pip = pipette. In my own MT4, if I drag my cursor from 1.36000 into 1.37000, it reveals 1000 but the correct way is to say 100 pips = 1000 pipettes. People normally just refer to price in pips, so if they say they took profit following 10 pips, then I adjust this to mean 100 pipettes as it makes more sense in my MT4.

    Swaps = the sum your broker charges or pays you at the end of each day for transactions still open. This fluctuates wildly between brokers; you can compare unique swaps http://www.myfxbook.com/forex-broker-swaps. Wednesday pays triple as it takes into account that weekend. When you consider the hyperlink and select EURUSD, it reveals AAAFx will require -0.52pips from you daily if you are brief EU, not much but if you swing it adds up. Conversely, if you are buying EURUSD then AAAFx will pay you 0.08pips daily - yep, your broker really gives you money!

    hey hukami.... Regrettably there is not a ribbon.... You're able to look in my profile to the forum attachments'files'.... Any mq4 uploaded must be there.... It appears that that link returns images too, which means you might have to scroll through only lookin in the ones with mq4 attachments....

    Most of what I write today is indeed images intense, it would take forever to explain.... h
