I've chatted with twoblink and he suggested I modify the Ts to trade. I've changed the profit display to show it and added a alteration along with altering the MA to Valve that removes choppy transactions. This is a quote from VT author Chris on the way to use the counter:

If you add the trading platform into the chart there are 3 possibilities:

    1) You have no open positions on the market.

    - In this instance, leave both OB and OS settings at 0 and start the trading platform in auto-trade mode; do not change these settings while it is running.

Two) You get a long position open on the market.

    - In this instance, you would set the OB factor to 1 and then leave the OS factor at 0 and then start the trading platform in auto-trade mode; do not change the trading platform whenever it's running. This tells the trading system that you had a buy position open when the trading system has been started; this means that you don't have to exit your position before beginning the trading platform to ensure it is in sync with the current open position.

    3) You get a brief position open on the market.

    - In this case, you would abandon the OB factor at 0 and set the OS variable to 1 and then start the trading platform in auto-trade mode; do not change the trading platform whenever it's running. This tells the trading system that you had a market position open when the trading system has been started; this means that you don't have to exit your position before beginning the trading platform to ensure it is in sync with the current open position.

It is currently set to trade Crossup and Crossdown. The stop doesn't work but is about the chart for reference. It is set for 5 minute trading and does quite well on all charts right now. Either there are large profits on choppy trading during breakeven or tendencies. Trading 5 minute charts gives less risk and stops traded at closing of the bar (when available) will kick in sooner. Work is needed by it but it should trade properly. It is a system and can be ported to MT4. As a result of twoblink because of his TS.

    Hi Rich,

Great to chat with youpersonally, will take a look at your changes and play around with it a little bit.

The concept of using the triangular MA to counter the choppiness is a new concept to me, so I'll study it further.

Additionally, I do not trade on the 5M, but will have a look at it. I will take a peek at VT to determine how it can automagically move the stop.

SOMEONE has got to be able to transfer this to EA on MT fairly fast...

    Hi Rich,

In this pic, I see that your chart confirms what I believed. I see 2 (perhaps 3) touches to the MA lines, and then a bounce back. That's why I bounces and thought scooting the stop line to the other side of this tunnel was a great idea and prevented the MA touch.

I will officially name this method:

OCC (Open/Close/Crossover) for a lack of a better name right now. It's shorter to type :-)

Here is a new version of Open Close Cross that includes stops, a timer on/off, counter, and limit. Trading is still based on MA close cross. To utilize on JPY pairs profit has to be divided by 100. I prefer times and twoblink likes ones but both may be achieved by changing Periods setting. Remember that trades including stops are made at closing of the bar so ceases on a 4hr chart may take 4 hours to kick in. So it's a work in progress, work will be done to filter out transactions.

I haven't utilized Strategy Runner but I see its own for futures trading. VTrader is for Forex only and has a built in simulator thats free and is also the perfect way to run this system.

    Hello Rich,

This OCC system seems so be quite interesting.I am having some problems with the setting though,so I would greatly appreciated if you can discuss your brief term setting for the system.

    Thanks,

    Sebastian

This program is both quite simple and complied with stops, limits, countertops, and timer. Counter details are in post and all options are off by default. Just the intervals is flexible, and the options are numerous so you will have to experiment on your own. VT crashed at 830am Friday during major news that's not uncommon, so the day's charts are flawed. Any places that are available will have to be closed manually after restarting it and stopping the machine. It currently has issues with reversals like 830am Friday and only monitoring stops will resolve this. Twoblink has and could possibly be changed from the TS. It is still being analyzed and modified.

I have included my XMA TS here that uses a similar system that works good on GBP US 10min charts with an initial stop of 30 so each transaction will only lose 30 pips. Again testing is needed to see your settings and may be modified occasionally.
