Ratios and Harmonics: a Different Way to Trade

    SPECIAL NOTE:

Hello Dealers, read the introduction below and then start on this post https://www.cliqforex.com/technical-...-crossing.html This can help save mountains of time moving through the hundreds of webpages. I am doing something special here. Thank you.

    Hello Dealers,

I#8217;m ; I am a fulltime trader and exchange ratios and harmonics. I#8217;m beginning this thread with the goal of providing some insight on the topic of ratios and harmonic trading.

I know that this is an advance method of trading but let#8217;s not let that influence our ability to learn from this style of trading. I will not be giving you any resume regarding how long I#8217;ve ever been trading will I'm answering questions about my outcomes, just how many pips I make a week and all the other questions which follow suit. Let#8217;so know my response will not be equal to yours and are irrelevant to this purpose to this thread.

Outcomes have to do with all the trader then the machine traded. You may see value or you won#8217;t. If you do stick aroundand we can learn from each other. This really is a never ending journey and studying should be #1 in your priority list.

This system is based on price action, ratios and harmonics. NO indictors used or will be added. As they're not part of the system please do not post any. All traders and their thoughts deserve the upmost respect and that's the sole rule for now.

As I mentioned I am a complete time trader and my focus will be to my trading first. I will after my trading is completed to the afternoon come here to post and answer inquiries. Please let me know if there is an interest in harmonics and ratios therefore I will continue on our journey.

I welcome and phone out all harmonics and ratio traders to participate and post. I wish everyone the best in all of your endeavors.

    Greatest Speeches,

I would like to thank Kilian19 to the Superb jester of Keeping a summery journal of my main post. This is a reference for all. Many thanks

That is a huge spike on my demo account... is that due to this natural gas report? picture
Right click on the chart and reload historical information, that should get rid of the spike

Hi guys. Update. Not that anyone waited for it but I do not want to disappear. Well I blew a decent portion account two weeks ago. I tried to be courageous and not let emotions dictate my trading. I lasted trading, largely and kind of fearless with confidence. I blew another portion of my account. I began doubting the fact, or my abilities I have any. I researched more land (fib extensions, fashion lines and stations. .) Not as substitute, but for extra or confluence chances. Traded demo. Went fine. I was excited about it....
    Hi Pete,
Sorry to hear that. Perhaps you can notice and tell us what was the issue? Like what is the swing range you're trading? And what is comm and the disperse you really paying?

Hi guys. Update. Not that anyone was waiting for it but I do not need to just disappear. I blew a portion of my account two weeks ago. I tried to be courageous and not let emotions dictate my trading. So I lasted trading, largely and sort of fearless . I blew another portion of my account. I started questioning the fact, or my skills that I have any. I researched more land (fib extensions, trend lines and stations. .) For additional or confluence possibilities, although not as substitute. Traded demo. Went fine. I was excited about...
Just to allow you to know... I was until quite recently in the same situation as you. I'd make a profitable months and make a 20% return in my account and then I'd blow 30% in two weeks. I lost half of my initial investment and did this 3 times. To this day I'm still hoping to loe consistency and I will tell you one thing. Do not give up regardless of if there is a close person telling you to stop or if there is negative self talk. If you have been profitable on a demo account than with patience and also work in your emotional toughness I believe you could make things happen.

Hi guys. Update. Not that anyone was waiting for it but I don't want to disappear. I blew a good part of my account two weeks ago. I tried to be brave and not let emotions dictate my trading. So I lasted trading, sort of fearless and mostly with confidence. I blew another part of my account. I started doubting my abilities, or the fact that I have any. I researched more land (fib extensions, fashion lines and channels. .) Not as substitute, but for confluence or additional possibilities. Traded demo. Went ok. I had been enthused about...
Sorry to hear of the challenging week PeterT.
I am pleased to share my ideas and emotions (and I hope others reading this forum are ready to allow me to share them). I feel that trading is a lot about sticking to a egy and controlling greed and fear. If the program works in the long run rewards await. I believe that you have simply been fairly unfortunate and even though there is a 70:30 achievement the norm over a sample set of a week or 2 it might not perform. Even though it were 50:50 if the risk reward is above 1:1 gains are expected. Sod's law will dictate that if you demo trade you will receive success and if you originally begin trading live losses will be seen by you. You have to anticipate this.

I am really new to Harmonic trading and this week started trading live this week following a month of successful demo trading months. It was a baptism of fire in many respects. You might have noticed by my posts. Overall reduction was -358 pips that equates to 8.95% of my account since I trade with 40 pips being 1 percent. I fell victim and made mistakes once I shouldn't have, entering although I would have probably broken if I followed my trading program. The aid Mr Pip the traders supply will help me steer towards profitable months.

I will currently be demo trading for some time before I can rebuild my confidence but I do hope that overtime I shall acquire profitable as I am making many errors at the moment. Before I've discovered that it takes a lot of time to acquire mindsets. I've spoken to many professional traders and even though some don't like to acknowledge it most have blown their accounts occasionally more than initially but they discovered a way. I've had success in another field of speculating (sports betting) and although this is a very different set of principles it has comparable emotion controls which are necessary and staking/trading discipline. I've had good success with sports betting reached the point where my stakes will be restricted by many bookmakers to 1 pence making the job unprofitable that is just one of the reasons I wanted to build up abilities to trade the markets. I know the benefit of putting in the job. I blew a few smaller betting accounts prior to making strong profits initially and it took about two years to allow me to find my feet. Those who shed are really liked by bookmakers in the united kingdom and they close accounts or restrict bet sizes to those that are powerful so this route is currently closed to me.

Following my trades this week once I demo or live trade in the long run I have opted to make sure that I just potentially lose 1 percent of my bank each transaction and will be passing on any trades above the 1 percent. This may mean taking on retracements on markets like YM233 tick. Results for me this week were:

    Monday: -163
    Tuesday: 50
    Wednesday: 10
    Thursday: -255
    Friday: No trading
    TOTAL: -358

Hope the meditation / taking out time works for you and so long because it's affordable and does not lead to financial hardship I echo x3m-PippiN's words and suggest that following a period of time out you begin with the demo accounts and again at some point begin live trading again. If it were easy everyone would do it. I will work at it. A 9% reduction of my account that probably should have been a break even week does not worry me and that I will see that using the huge liquidity in the marketplace if I can get this right that the trading is definitely very scale-able over time. If you were able to increase your account by 3.00% per month every month and you had means not to withdraw the money an account of #20,000 account would grow to #1.2m in ten years. See attached spreadsheet (Growth Calculator Example). You can change the assumed growth to see outcomes that are different. It assumes you reinvest and thus each month your transaction size increases.
