Charting Vegas System without the indicator?

    Hi there everyone,

I had a small question to ask:

I just recently purchased an fx simulator that simulates actual live trading with real historic data....anywho, to this stage:

I wanted to know if there's anyway to graph the Vegas System with no use of this Metatrader indiors. Any ideas? Is there a means to graph them using just EMA's or Bollinger Bands? I could really use the help because it would be a terrific assistance to see in real time (however in fast forwards) the way the machine performs.

    Thanks everyone.

Ps- Also a quick extra question: would be the fib level lines on the Vegas indiors extensions from off of the fundamental Moving Averages or are they all Moving Averages that are based from Fibonacci numbers?

I set up the document you cited in the above text , but it doesnt show up in the navigator , Any suggestions ?????????????
Can you try my post script comment? It should work fine:

EDIT Post Script: I thought some might prefer a quick 55 sma station template for their own template folder in MT4 therefore I packed mine into my own server: http://www..com/fx_posts/MT4_stuff/templates/ just download the one named 55sma channel.tpl and set within your template folder into MT4 program folder. It is comprised of a 55sma/median for its /-34,55,89 FIBOs in Blue, and then a 56sma/median for its /-144,233,377,610 FIBOs at Magenta. . .use whatever two colours you prefer. I did so to visualy differentiate between inner and outer (TP) levels.

It will then show up as a template from the template menu once you right click a open chart and select Templates.

Bloody phenomenal! I prefer to not do recommendations as they frequently come off like junk, yet this was terrific. Imagine hsitorical information from 1999-2005. Now imagine you have this information for each of the majors and a few exotics. Add a great charting platform together with each of the regular indiors and the ability to put several charts at once. Now here the kicker for you: it deals like you were in realtime. You can forward at diffrent speeds and even pause. You can maintain a trade journal and snapshots of cost and such and it offers a danger % calculator so it adjusts lots dependent on the stop loss you put in. It's terrifc to get candlestick pattern recognition and materials.

It has it's limitations yet I have to say it's the best 150USD I ever spent! I want I could simulate Vegas' egy though. (No negative MA's or large enough numbers (only belongs to 200)

Hello there everybody. . .ps- Also a question that is extra: are they or would be the Moving Averages' degree lines ?
    Hello Rumi,
I have been using the FIBO channels on time frames of 5 min and up to monthly since reading about them. At that time I was using a pleasant charting package out of http://www.fibonaccitrader.com/ .

The moving averages you see on the 4hr Vegas version are drawn off the central 55 SMA, while the Daily version they're drawn off the central 28 EMA. Charting progr will have the ability to include Levels. In this circumstance you're incorporating MA's at popular FIBO number-of-pips in the central MA... /- 55, /- 89, /- 144 etc.... on smaller (under 4 hrs) I add /- 13, /- 21, /- 34 for heads up on TP and also potential consolidation loions.

EDIT Post Script: I thought some might like a quick 55 sma station template to get their own template folder in MT4 therefore I loaded mine to my own server: http://www..com/fx_posts/MT4_stuff/templates/ just download the one named 55sma channel.tpl and set within your template folder in MT4 program folder. It's comprised of a 55sma/median for the /-34,55,89 FIBOs in Blue, and a 56sma/median for the /-144,233,377,610 FIBOs at Magenta. . .use whatever two colors you like. I did this to visualy differentiate between internal and outer (TP) levels.

The 56ma is due to the fact that MT4 won't let you place a couple of the identical MA# common Moving Average indiors on the chart. . .so i fudged.

It appears this simulator certainly does not do Moving Averages in the negative so I guess I can't examine the Vegas systems on this simulator. It is too bad. Perhaps I can figure out some way to utilize the close of larger moving averages eyeglasses to reach these amounts. Any more hints out there? Anyway to utilize the fib instrument to manually ch these fib levels out their moving averages? I will keep working on this.

I have been attempting to get up to speed on the VWB but have run into 2 roadblocks (much more like mountain sized boulders) I have never been able to download and then start the plugins (all I get is jibberish) and now I've downloaded the appropriate charting package but I have no idea how to go about how to load something into the template folder (I'd find that folder). Can you help a individual that is very challenged? If computers were residing systems! Thank you.

Could you provide me some advice on the simulator you bought? I have been looking for something like this to practice with. How much does it cost? Where can I get it? Does it work good? Etc, etc..

    Thanks,
    Dave

Sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties, I suppose we all, in different levels have a learning curve on this stuff. I do believe once you spend some time with MetaTrader 4 you will be doing this as second character. Hang in there, lots of fantastic ppl here to help out.

I'll add some more details for my instructions given above.

I have never been able to open and download the plugins (all that I get is jibberish)
    ...
You ought to come across that the MT4 folder (could be termed InterbankFX or SNC Investments or any number, depending on which you downloaded it from.)

(Best to do all the below when the program isn't running)

    Then open the folder
    Find Experts open it
Find Indiors and drag/drop the new indior into this folder to get any Indior you've downloaded from the net.

Upon following running of program this indior name ought to be listed under the Custom Indior list in the Navigator.

...that I don't have any clue how to go about how to load something into the template folder (I did loe that folder)...
Same directions as above for loing the MT4 program folder. This time you will discover a folder called Template as soon as you open the program folder. This is where you drag/drop your templates like what I posted previously. DO NOT put them inside the template folder found inside the Pros...!

Now next time you run MT4, right click on any open graph. Look down six words onto the pop up window and you will notice the word Template with a right arrow, highlight that and discover the template you wish to attach to the graph.

There are numerous threads here in thecliqforexdiscussing MT4 setups, and also ch the MT4 manual from the website you downloaded the program from or out from Metaquotes.net. . .read through it and have fun. You can't break anything. . .and even if you do just download it again.

    It is all enjoyable,
    Thom

I purchased it out of http://www.forexinterbank.com It utilizes beyond historic data of different currency pairs (only one at a time though) and contains several indiors and so on. It's possible to play the data from fastward and slow down and pause and a lot of stuff. I am still playing it and will tell you if it's worth getting or not. So far it sounds pretty decent. Only give me a more days to have fun and I will tell you if it's worth your time and cash.
