Hi there,
I exchange on live account since 2003 and during this more than 7 years I've tried hundreds of systems and thousands of indiors.
My curent ocupation permits me to be in front of the trading screen virtually all day long. I live in Eastern Europe so that I can maintain office beginning with 5 am GMT and till 20 pm GMT (but of course I seldom stay that much).Given the conditions that I can daytrade.
Although initially I exchanged little accounts for some time (in the range of 3000 - 5000 eur), throughout the past 3-4 years I managed to exchange a bigger account which lets me buy and sell multiple lots. My egy would be to gradually get into a position once I believe that support or resistance is close and the market is oversold/overbought. My account can quickly adapt a position outside 10 lots without significant risk of having margin call or loosing a huge region of the account. Of course I'm not very pleased if my bets against the market go so wrong that I am forced to these exposures beyond 10 lots. Usually though my place is limited to 3-5 lots. After gathered such a situation, if/when the market turns and goes in my path, I close most of the contracts on break even and that I wait with only a few to finally indie some profits. There are also times once I decide to have a lose on all of the places opened, in order not to risk tripping over that I can manage.
I order to recognize the moments for my trades, I look at all the major events of the day (opening and closing times of the most important exchanges around the world, fixings in Europe and USA, scheduled significant macroeconomic statements and corporate earnings, choices expires etc).
I corroborate this vital moments of the day with significant price levels such as classic daily, weekly and monthly pivots, daily bollinger bands, a few proprietary bands, popular long term averages, fibonacci retracements and popular S/R levels from past price action.
I also have some proprietary indiors (nothing elaborate, just modest modifiion to antique indiors) to measure overbought and oversold state of the market on multiple time-frames. Also, I use some http://www.jurikres.com/ indiors.
That is all.
Below I will attempt to maintain a trading journal (the very first one that I make people ).
