All currency pairs are range-bound more often than not.
All of major currency pairs, in the future over any certain time frame, are trending/ranging about the very same proportions of the moment.
Given the OP's circumstances and time-zone, I recommend EUR/USD as first selection and GBP/USD as second choice, for their low spreads.
I would avoid JPY pairs.
I would avoid any pairs using high dealing costs.
(My third choice would probably be USD/CAD).
Euro is so volatile but I have maximum result by using this trading pair once I was a newbie. Any trading pair could be profitable if you know how to manage money when trading practically.

EUR.USD is your ideal choice! Besides, now traders may utilize others major Forex currencies because of low trading spread! From the beginning session, new traders will need to use largely limited number of trading pairs for studying; a long trading list would not be helpful.
I would advice to you start with EURUSD XAGUSD or a different pair, where do you feel you feel comfortable and understand some fundamentals.
