    Stand alone MetaEditor and compiler

OK, This seems bizarre, but it is not. I would like to have the ability to edit .mq4 files and compile them on a workstations that does not possess Metatrader installed. At'work' we have Winxp Pro, and'installing' anything requires Admin rights, which I know. I would like to be in a position to do some work in an EA I am writing during my breaks and lunch, I replied the MetaEditor to a thumb drive, and it'll run from the thumb drive. While I try to compile I get Couldn't establish the compiler. I took a quick look at the full install of Metatrader at home, and I didn't see a compiler app. Was I looking in the wrong place?? What do I want to get the compiler running??

I think I remember installing Metatrader to my thumb drive.

It is possible to set up the complete metatrader platform onto a thumb drive (at least 128 MB) just do not try to perform any backtesting.

It's not necessary to install it at all
Just copy the entire thing from your system to some folder (any folder) and start Terminal for trading and testing MetaEditor for editing and compiling

    it's not construct 482 (I think it is 509): https://www.cliqforex.com/bitcoin-cr...-train-ea.html

I suggest using SCITE-MQL, much superior editor to the old Metaeditor.

Start looking for the app called MetaLang.exe on your MetaTrader folder. That's the compiler.
