    Improving oneself in Forex

    Hello guys,

I am new in this world of Forex, though I've reading and searching a lot for the previous 6 months, and understand a little bit about what we need to go through every day.

But that is not what I am asking you , here.

What I need is a way to not be mediocre in Forex. I understand our objective is to make a lot of positive pips each time, however I need to know more, to learn more than simply applying systems and be finished with that.

I hope I am making myself clear. English isn't my first language.

Books about Economy, Politics, etc; Online, Offline or perhaps TV Progr; Journals and Newspapers; etc; etc..

I understand there is not a University of Forex, however there's so much knowledge out there and I really don't understand how to properly begin.

Ps.: I am a Post-Graduate at Law School.

    God bless all.

    Hi Art5,

in case you're looking to learn more on a fundamental level, it may help to see the press conferences of this ECB FED (with FX-charts on the desktop). Especially Draghi QA following the monthly (6weekly in 2015 I think) rate choice is very intriguing (and I'd even say sometimes highly entertaining!) .

Alsohttp://www.ecb.europa.eu/pub/mb/html/index.en.html FED publiions offer great perspectives on fundamentals (perhaps of your aid: ECB-info comes from several languages). Although they won't offer direct guidelines for FX-trading decisions and it's occasionally specific, very factual advice I think when active in trading (FX or other people), an individual should at least sometimes have a peek at these sources to be aware of what's going on in the world of financeeconomics.

Hilsenrath-articles at WSJ are really worth mentioning.

Hope this might help you in your quest for information

    (edit includes ECB connection)

    Fellas, thank you.

I will give a try, for sure.

Obtained myself copies of The ligent Investor and Security Analysis, from Benjamin Graham. Great novels; hope I can comprehend and practise them well.

    God bless.

Hello guys. Thanks a lot for the answers, means a lot for me.

However, actually, that's not exactly what I asked. I'm not interested in creating wealth (per se) or creating a method, in this little rookie corner. I'm interested in being more knowlegeable, to have more comprehension of what's happening in the world of Forex (beside the truth there is market manipulation here and there). I would like to understand more News, Politics, Economy, etc., all connected in someway with Forex(maybe not just to examine it). And I quote myself:

Books about Economy, Politics, etc; Online, Offline or perhaps TV Progr; Journals and Newspapers; etc; etc..
Anything which makes me more into Forex, maybe not so much concerning profit, system, technical things, if you understand what I mean.

Edit.: For example, I have read Disciplined trader and Trading in the Zone, by Mark Douglas, in Plogy, one of a few others.

Again, thanks a lot for the answers. Perhaps I'm not clear my goal isn't achievable, but my street is to not be mediocre in Forex, maybe not in terms of wealth only.

Many thanks and God bless you.

Yeah, Dutch, I suppose you're right. Thanks for your response. I'll start to read about fundamentals, as I exchange Technical at daily basis, but want more than simply watch graphicals... So, where to start, and become adept? God bless you all.

    How to improve in forex.

Accept you will end up bipolar in 1 area

Insanity is doing the exact same thing at the exact same way expecting a different result.

    And

Insanity is doing a different thing in a different way expecting the same outcome.

When You're Able to hold both statements within your mind at the same time and you know at the marrow of your bones That They're equally acceptable then there is a good chance you will succeed

    Hello Art,

I think more than 95 percent of the people on this forem, which are investing in forex, are trading forex predied on some type of technical analysis, in casu predied on charts and with or without indiors they trade when their trading plan (egy) defines a nice set up. If I know you well, correct me if I'm wrong, you wish to trade based on fundamentals, like interest rates, GDP, employment rates etcetera. This is not common around here. The statements of fundamental news are characterized by specialized traders as news items. These news events affect the charts and also the technical trader transactions the motion.

THis all doesn't indies that we all, as specialized traders on news events and trading on brief span even intraday. It is possible to as welll trade technically on daily, weekly or monthly charts. You can chose to get more of a swing or perhaps place trader. Then you can even use your fundamental knowledge for more term trend and technicall understanding for picking the minutes to input this trend.

If you may have further questions, do not be afraid to ask.

Yeah, Dutch, I guess you are right. Thank you for your response.

I'll begin to read more about fundamentals, like I trade Technical at daily basis, but desire more than just watch graphicals...

So, where to begin, and become proficient?

    God bless you.
