    fibonacci retracements etc

    This is probably a very simple question for majority of individuals on this forum.
    However I will ask anyway.
    It is to do with fibonacci retracements, how the hell do yu work out them.
    Allow me to give an illuion, for some thing that Monarch mentioned now....

    High of 1.9671
    Low of 1.9613

    Fib retrace 61.8% equals 1.9649?

    What's the maths worked out regarding the eventual figure of the above 1.9649, or another way, what's multiplied or divided to get final figure?
    Would appreciate your help. Many thanks William

    A = 1.9671
    B = 1.9613

    C (A-B)*0.618 = 0.0036

    61.8% Fib =C B = 0.0036 1.9613 =1.9649

    A = 1.9671
    B = 1.9613

    C =(A-B)*0.618 = 0.0036

    61.8% Fib =C B = 0.0036 1.9613 =1.9649
    You don't need to wait on this Forum, there're are so many knowledgeable folk around. Love

    All these sites are of the more basic selection.

    There is a raft of things here as well. It is a fantastic place to go when learning (assuming you're learning, apologies if not) http://www.investopedia.com/search/r...naccisubmit=Go. Scroll down until you get into the section for more information.

    This website was within my bookmarks, haven't been there for a little while, and I don't have any connection with them, but there are some videos you'll be able to look at and they have a egy using CCI to refine entrances, http://www.mjbraun.net/

    Hi William
    I hope someone will say it's worth knowing the mathematics , however, whatever trading platform you run, the Fib instrument takes care of it for you.
    The difficult part is picking tops and bottoms to run the tool from.
    But I hope some kind soul will pop in and enlighten us
