Hi there im fairly new to this forum, I have some experience with stocks and have been watching the price of gold for around 4 years but im new to forex trading.
Im a final year electrical and electronic engineering student, So I hope I have some transferable skills which will help me to plan EA's . I will be seeking to plan my EA's in the future. However not just yet as I dont have the specialist guie in my head to program the EA

Could anyone with expertise in this field please direct me toward some fantastic EA's free or paid because I dont mind. Some analyzed EA's or direct me toward a ribbon using some that would be great if anyone could show me.

Ive been in the same fields as I and you can absolutely say that electronics and programming are not even close to one another.

You will find all kind of ea's out there for free mostly on forums which you may look at the code and see how different things are done, simply google free ea and you should come up with alot of results, especially in forums like this one.
I would reference docs.mql.com lt;-- to read over whats being performed

up to forward testing that is usually step 3 in establishing a ea for me
I will discuss my procedure with you so it hopefully helps

1: backtest using egy tester at random times to see whether your ea has some basis, also check for shorter and longer amounts of times, several years and just 1 month, ect... just play with different times and see whether it shines out on you.
2: forward test on demonion
3: if 1 2 are successfull then proceed on to live testing on a micro account but just when 1 two are completely successful

Thank you for the reply,your right nonetheless all the optional modules I chose were programming like AI covered things like fuzzy logic, expert systems, genetic algorithms,neural networks, I suppose it only depends upon the specialisation you choose.

I have googled EA's nevertheless I havent found any that dont claim to achieve ridiculous results so ive come here in order to see if there are any that individuals can vouch for from private experience.

But I'd like to loe totally free EA's etc and change them initially as that should be simpler, are there any you can recommend to me?

I kept searching for the EA's just in the programming section, ive found a number of the great EA's about the forum now, and I know I have to save them inside the EA folder on metatrader, but I am unable to loe the file.

Does this imply I have to make the file? Im confused as of how to loe the document to start with or the place to save the document to. It would be greatly appreciated if anybody can tell me.

I've downloaded and compiled the doo EA files in metaeditor, no matter how the EA doesn't appear following a restart. what am I doing wrong?

Restart mt4. The listing will upgrade after even a resume or a compile.
