Oanda reversing trades?

I just received email from Oanda:
Dear Damian:

Because of one or more erroneous rate spikes that occurred on our FXTrade system, the subsequent
alterations were completed to roll back transactions brought on by the spikes:

Ticket 373140429 (EUR/USD) has been deleted.
Ticket 373140103 (EUR/USD) has been deleted.
Ticket 373140100 (EUR/USD) has been deleted.
Ticket 373138940 (EUR/USD) was shut on Tue Jul 15 2008 03:01:35PM DT instead.

Please check your account in your earliest convenience. If you have any questions or
concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us .

I checked and all of these trades were on profit. And wfter this roll all of those profits are gone, and it looks like that I never made this trades. I risk, commerce and what? They cancell my trades and take away profit. Somebody else have similiar issue?

They will refund you if it moves the other way and your stop loss is hit by a spike.

Try not to take it, reversing trades is becoming a regular feature on Oanda!

It's tough but I don't think there's very much you can do on it, and that I agree with you it's totally unfair.

You probably already know this but I'll mention it anyway, don't revenge trade to get those profits back, you are going to lose and be much more pissed off than you are now!

Should you look at it from the impartial view instead of one of the 2 parties you'll fine some feel there, obviosuly there are far more ppl who'd have lost money in those spikes than those who made money, because those spikes came off a tchnical fault and was'nt a real market activity any losses (and yes profits too) do not deserve to be had....don't you believe...

Oanda is not ideal, but fair. I trade for many years now there and had some spikes as well. However, I always got my money back if I have stopped out because of a misspike.

Oanda isn't ideal, but fair. I trade for several years now there and had some spikes as well. However, I always got my money back if I got stopped out because of a misspike.

Not many trades filled on misquotes are reversed though, such as Oanda stand by the price discrepancies in the video in this thread yet those prices do not appear on any other platform simply because the market never traded there. What's interesting is nobody has been able to come up with any sort of reasonable explanation for all these spikes, misquotes, and reversals (unless you call aliens with laser be a reasonable explanation https://www.cliqforex.com/attachments/1526342955.png).

Bad ticks happen very sometimes on more or less every platform, sure, but they happen far more often on Oanda than any other marketmaker, it's become nearly a daily occurance!

To save all these rollbacks and commerce reversals would not it be much simpler and more effective if trades simply were not filled at prices which don't exist or are no longer available, that is exactly what a lot of marketmakers are doing.

Evidently, if you think its unfair or too frequently, you need another broker. I can live with it, in my view their advantages still outweigh the negatives. I have 2 accounts, one with Hotspot and you with Oanda. I still do most trades with Oanda (better overall pricing and swaps), if they start acting up a lot of which will change fast, but I am not at this stage however.

I am not quite certain what you are laughing hysterically about, after all you are the one who trades there! (even though a perverse sense of humor probably does help if you trade with Oanda!)

This shouldn't have to be explained as it's pretty basic stuff which even the most challenged novice inexperienced trader ought to be able to exercise, but anyhow....

Of course trading fashion will make a difference. A person trading away a daily or 4hr chart isn't going to suffer these misquotes, bad behaviour, and trade reversals as much as a short-term trader trading away a 15m chart, I'd have thought that was obvious but apparently not to everybody!

Regardless of trading fashion these trade rollbacks are becoming a regular occurrence at Oanda, traders are having to hold their breath waiting to see if a trade they created today will still be respected by Oanda tomorrow!

Perhaps you would like to explain why those bad ticks and misquotes are happening often, and just how Oanda can quote 50 pips away from market or some other marketmaker and yet still stand by these quotes.
