Earlier today, in another FF thread, there was speculation (rumor?) That BOE would reduce rates by 50 bp. Within my inimitable Profession fashion, I opined that a surprise 25 bp decrease would comparatively equivalent FOMC intervention since the same was experienced by the Brits near disasters since US.
We know-- no surprise by BOE. However, the 50 loudly resounds within in need of expression. And the two.... Both?? Both is a fib amount?? And 25 multiplied by two = 50!
Only add 50 and two and.... Voila mon ami, vous avez 52!!!!! Dormez well!
