Ok, allow me to place the 2 cases where I experienced actual Ahaa....

The moment I made my biggest loss ever (This was several years ago in shares ) was an Aha moment. . .At this moment, I explained, this is how people actually Eliminate money in the markets, so if I do not do this once more, I would be fine preserving my funds...

The second Aha was the moment I made my biggest win ever..At this moment, I told myself, this is how Folks manage to make BIG money out of the markets, so if I could do this several times, I would be fine increasing my account...

Ever since then, I always practically, Cut my losses short ride profits, both aggressively...

    Thank you,

    Nader

The first one was common- Learning how to let your winning trades run and not letting your losses run.

I had a couple weeks where I had been over 80% on winners , and dropped money... studying - Trading in the Zone helped a lot, and some private tutoring from a long time Options trader got me .

For technique, learning pivot trading done my trade system... I actually prefer sideways markets now.

How come everytime I believe ahaa, I got it! Still missing something.
I had an ahaa moment recently remembering an ahaa moment I had for the stock market. I decided to do exactly the same thing. It entails trading events, or hefty momentum busting highs or lows. However, in Forex, I'm still working about 5 min entrance. . .or candle? And a lot of these events have a single major pop, and a lot of consolidation.
Soo near I can feel it...

Until I've a ahaaa moment I do not trade. The first one has to happen after watching the market for a while to acquire the Feel of the tool (currency pair). ( I currently just trade 2 pairs) Afterward an ahaaa for each and every trade afterwards. Occasionally I get an ahaaa for an exit sign. BTW, all of my trading ahaaa's are based on technical analysis, fundamental comprehension, tool (currency pair) price behaviour.

When I realized that:Rather than leaping to another, I need to return to work and create MY system. The Trader is a whole lot more significant compared to System. Greater timeframes make the trader . Time is as important as price.
You have said what I wished to say.

Another aha. . Was once I discover that struck after a while can save a lot of cash than.

Up until today, I have had more duh! Moments than ahaa! . Like everybody else my ahaa! Moment is learning to cut my losses and allowing the profits run.

I believe at a certain stage, aquiring more understanding - with the idea that learning more is what's going to make you a successful trader - can be counterproductive in trading. Since I was seeing this, once I started reading Trading in the Zone and it was introduced in the book, I felt like this book was likely to be quite enlightening, and it is.

The big one for me up to life in general goes is when I figured out that advice from different people is usually worthless. People throw advice around and usually they're talking out of the ass.

No one knows what you need to do better than you. Always weigh from what you know to be accurate and do your homework any advice you get.

Also be rather slow to change your mind as soon as you've made a choice. Don't let some jackass come together and put a bug in your ear about how you should be doing things. Odds are he does not give two shits about you anyway and does not know what the hell he's talking about.

    My Aha minutes were 2:

    1. Indiors are a bunch of BS.
    2. Fund Manager are another bunch of BS. (Realised after losing over $40k by finance managers. It motivated me to learn trading myself.)
