thanks for bringing that to my attention . Dial in 2005 posted this I think. Among the best posts here, particularly if you're new.
I consider myself in the beginning of phase 4. Because without practice you'll never reach point 5, thats why I would like to be able to spend more time.

I was going to ask if there are any recommended simulators on the market, but I discovered this article:

If anyone knows of others I'd be interested too.

VHands appears pretty advanced. Cant say from experience because I have to check it out

http://forextester.com/ is actually fine, however commercial. People today seem satisfied with it however.

I just ordered an additional computer that I will use only for trading.
Simply to keep you up2date if anybody is interested:

thanks all for the replies and for encouraging me to just keep going. I am now working in my new shiny workstation (though I have to buy a second screen as soon as I can afford it ), and its just fantastic. I've discovered that simulation trading doesnt work with me, I just cant use it. I have some troubles with it, dont know why. but that doesnt matter.

I might have never thought it, but I am trading in the evening after work now. Cuts on life a lot but thats a price im willing to pay. I trade those us' 2 hours session everyday and it works! After one week of doing this, I am already seeing progress. If I can keep this up long enough (and not wreck on burnout syndrome lol) I certainly will get to where I want to be.

Men, 10 hours a week is plenty of time to boost your trading! I might have never believed that until today

2nd/3rd shift jobs anyone?!?? I for one trade the US session and work on shift in healthcare manufacturing.

Dayjob does not have to be throughout the day.

Man you need my job. I sit at a corner of the office and nobody can see my screens, I manage my job in this way that I barely work at all most of the afternoon, and I spend most of the afternoon remoted in to my home computer performing whatever I want. It would be simple for me to daytrade to my heart content. That I am working on. I turned down a transfer to a much better section career-wise since my current setup is too good.

Couldn't agree more with all the simulator on weekends. Pure gold.

I'd keep the day job for now moetzger. No point in making life trying when you aren't really ready.

I am much in exactly the exact same boat as possible, but will not quit working until I firstly have the funds and secondly have the confidence and experience to trade full time.

I don't care if it takes me 5-10 years. A goal has been set by me and will work gradually but steadily towards it. No matter what price I have to pay (price not being monetary either).

Option is yours however. I want you the best

Just get forex tester and do the simulations. Its the ideal tester on the market I know of. I use it to simulate how rich I can become in 3 years. Took me a painstaking 3 weeks to complete running the simulation (Which I did each night and on weekends after work) But turns out if I do exactly what I did for 3 years, I would be up 300k out of a 10k account. Nothing beats testing in record speed It informs me if I stick with my guns, I would be a millionaire in 4 years.

150$ a wealth of information is far better than losing 150$ to the market. Just my 2cents. However, good luck.

I manage my job in such a manner that I hardly work at all most of the day
Seems like you work in a government job?
