Even a little trade size may hurt if there's an unexpected high impact news event that is responsible for a big spike. You can be protected by A stop loss from that, if it's well positioned.
I wish folks would stop those FUD statements about black swan/NEWS events. Ok, do not put all your eggs on your trading basket. Trade profitably without stops week after week, always profits. . .pretty simple.

I didn't get noticeably profitable until I ceased the stops. Period. Nothing else really shifted in my trading activity aside from also not overdoing trade size (a lot of lots additional on, making a trade group top-heavy and likely to heading into BE too fast onto reversal/retrace). Strategy stayed almost the same, but it takes more effort to trade without them, as you get a much better sense for the market/price movement. (Edit: Maybe'more effort' isn't the ideal phrase. . .more sense of where the price is and seeing lower and upper TF's to gain a consensus when sign on your trade TF triggers.)

In addition, if you're feeling overly concerned about trades without stops, then reduce the trade size until you do not feel like that. ;--RRB-

That is it. Wear a little trade, see the market movement and slip and drift (up/down/sideways) and get a feel for it. Cover hedge if you're able to sense the market work it and has turned against it. Or pause it and make trades to become profitable enough to profit AND cancel this hedge/loss/losing trade. Ranging markets are great for getting back out. . .and tendencies just indicate take and it may take a bit longer to undo a transaction and profit from your'other' side.

Trading with no stop/loss is the trader's equal of Russian Roulette. You get lucky, you live another day, you get unlucky and you also get wiped out. Do not do it out demo.

    Hey partners,
Simply put -- trading without SL is injury waiting to happen. Every trader should employ some risk parameters and SL is one of those fundamental ones and those who do not utilize it should be categorized as adrenaline junkies

Of course it has to be patient and from time to time any discipline also has to be increased. Without patience, it would be tricky to feel the results of this Currency Market trading. Certainly, whatever the result, reduction, profit or MC, should serve as a lesson

Thus, have you ever done it. Properly?

Otherwise, stop acting like a person telling somebody not to fly, or drive, or bungee jump or something because they haven't done it and would not do it because its reckless and a few folks have died doing it!!!

You can exchange without SL should you use a sofisticated cash management including hedging.
