I am seeing this pair like a hawk! Really need to get in short on it but not sure about the 130 level, think it may go north to round the area that is 134-13450 before reversal? I see it has taken a little beating of 40 pips following the BOC rate announcement.

I think a single deal cannot be a variable for a long-term CAD strenghtening. It could cause one strong motion but not a way.

The public relations machine in canada is really refined in that, even if economic conditions were terrible and thats all that matters. Carney is the perfect example of this. Harper accepted the deal he also said he will NOT APPROVE any prospective bargains... (that ought to be CAD negative) but what exactly does the market do? CAD strengthens. Canada is becoming so good at delivering news that all news is good news. There's nothing as bad news for Canada.

edit: it doesnt even matter what the news is just the way its delivered haha
