    Why do you Trade Forex?

Hello folks! Let's have a warm discussion, shall we?

Why you opt to be a Foreign Exchange trader in the first place?

You may use money as your reason but in case you have a slightly deeper reason that would be quite wonderful to share:--RRB-

Me, it's because of 3 things: I believe Foreign Exchange is exceptional, I feel talented inside it, and I can be my own boss there;--RRB-

As I studied English Literature in college, most of my coworkers turn into teachers/lecturers or government staffs. I don't want to be the same, my passion would be to get a exceptional profession.

I feel talented because when I had a Foreign Exchange crash course because a new marketing team of a local broker here, somehow I heard very easily while all my new colleagues got themselves a challenging time. Didn't take long for me to quit, marketing staff = not cool; independent Foreign Exchange entrepreneur very cool.

What is your story, mate, care to share? =)

I have betted on sports for exactly ten years. It has been difficult to create draw from sportsbooks to bank acc within my country. The authorities put strict rules for banks and cash transfers are seldom accepted by them . I have tired of thinkin about the bankslaw and also the dumb bookmakers and wanted to start a similar job/hobby and of course more legally. I believe I beat the plogy of handling an account. Leverage is the most important reason of chosing forex instead of other markets. I think and KNOW that if you have...
Wow a first article. Welcome RH. It is pretty interesting here on FF forum =)

Since I am deluded! (A delusion is a false belief held with absolute conviction despite superior proof.)

... because I love to trade for the sake of trading.

I don't earn as much as I used to in my previous career, but that will come in time, and till then I have a job now that makes me leap out of bed in the morning and feel tired on the weekends when the markets have been closed.

    1. You can be your own boss
    2. You can trade from anywhere at anytime
    3. It means that you may live anywhere in the world
    4. Amount 1,2 and 3 leads one' your self to have a life that is real!
    5. Forex as an investment that you may learn from zero and risking relatively modest funds in the learning process if being compared to other investments
You drank that the Kool-Aid did not you...

It saves having to go to quench my desire. And this significant pokie system (a.k.a. the forex market) will pay out a bit more frequently compared to pokie machines in Vegas although, I must admit, I was pretty lucky on Wheeeeeeeeeeeel of Fortune.

I spy with my little eye Hayseed. A-ha... so it is not a guy cave you are building...

I think most people are initially attracted to Foreign Exchange for the illusion of big bucks - but as soon as you realise that isn't going to occur, there needs to be something keeping you in the sport.

For me, its the challenge of mastering something that's too difficult for most people. I smoked 30 - 40 cigarettes a day for 20 years, then I made a snap decision to quit last year. Not for reasons of money or health - just because I knew it'd be hard. I even did it the hard way, cold turkey during the quiet season at work once my workmates and I stood around smoking most of the day. I just did it to challenge myself, to prove to myself I can easily do. I was in the top 1 percent at high school. As soon as I started playing poker I discovered that only 5 percent of poker players make profit - I started studying the math of this game and did not quit until I was in that top 5 percent. When I heard that a very small percentage of Foreign Exchange traders make consistent profit it triggered something in me - . Just as it's hard, because people cannot do it.

It doesn't have anything to do with money, otherwise I would have given up long ago.
