    Daytrader as a round-the-world traveller

As trading has small loion limitation. A thriving private trader, with earned the funds, can operate trading while travelling around the world.

I discovered there is a private trader that has a girlfriend in every major cities around his region. While I am not encouraging that kind of lifestyle, I am curious to know if you have experience to share from yourself or from other folks as a personal trader.

Also, it is good to know of different issues that may happen in this kind of lifestyle. For cases, network limitation imposed by the countries, or taxation issues involved.

    Look forward for your sharing!

1 Attachment(s) It's good to see that the proportion of the wildly successful traders in this thread is much greater than it would be predictable in the numbers... The one person who's missing from this thread is that the great Baron Munchausen...

He are the one trading whilst flying to a cannon-ball via satellite link to his reduced latency VPS at NYC...

quote Hi, are you in Malta? I've been in Phuket for the last 2.5 decades and'm getting a little restless and discover the time difference not ideal for my lifestyle. I like the European timezone!

I suppose only 1% of the traders have this luxury (see under pie chart from newschool's site ), and likely less than 1% is actually to being on the move all of the time. It could seem like fun traveling the world using a notebook, but after a couple of years it can get old... Like everything in life... Even a brand new Bentley or a luxury yacht may get old, and of course that the women at each port... Of course you can always buy the newest cars and gadgets, but if you devote some time studying into the science of happines, then you'll be surprised to see...
I suppose a day job and remaining in the same place will not get old. Just take the pie chart and replace trader with company man.

Traveling can get boring but if you stay in the same region for some time and establish a home foundation such as such as in Thailand and travel everywhere in South East Asia it is very excellent. I would stay, if it was not for the time zone.

I think a European Base and traveling the world is perfect. Comparable to having a good job with a 20 hour week and traveling the world alot.

You're right. Becoming free of bosses and place work hours, obtaining a home base in Europe/USA and traveling for vaions all over the world seems to be the best alternative. But living out of a suitcase is not much fun after a moment.

Currently I am in Thailand (where I am a returning visitor), so I understand what I am referring to. It is real pleasure until it grows old on you...

I have been in Thailand for nearly three years now and it is getting old, mainly because the time zone doesnt chive together with my lifesyle and trading times. The US market opens 8pm Thai Time and that is too late for me. Plus the humidity is currently starting to drive me nuts. So I'm considering Europe with winters in Thailand or even Colombia.
