The ideal cent broker for small traders

I don't have any complaints about oanda until now. I look for signals on metatrader and put orders on fxtrade because of the units thing. I know that news spikes are part of the enterprise. I see the news calendar and cancel the stop and tp amounts on orders prior to the news event. After 1 minute I retype the sl and tp.
Something that I hated about oanda were the false signals on fxtrade. I enter transactions in the top low of this setup bar h4. Today the fxtrade platform revealed a clear break of this high but on metatrader wasn't a break. If you're a breakout trader you can loose money by entering on the rest of previsious supp rez because it's obvius that metatrader is appropriate (assessed too with thinkorswim). I solved the problem by placing out the break order somewhat forward than the original break by a space of the disperse

I've an empty reside account at Oanda plus a couple of demo. And I've used they platforms too: Desktop, Android and iPhone. If you do a transaction and you'll visit a office ( for whatever reason depart your PC ) than you are able to check what you did in cellular, but the ill product manger whoever it is, does not incorporate the functionality to change your commerce in Android, simply close the commerce!!!

I've used they desktop version, I had 2 trades, as I recall all were Brief and in losing I've asked why the hell it shows that the%profit positive value. You wont believe: they told me that the price has increase with this percent! - but what has that with my commerce, what is the profit on such?!

I've offered to develop they platform ( I am an old Java developer too), but they denied.

As broker, they are the very best MM, but you fulfill them with you side, not just broker, you'll need to see those trash reports that they has. ( I do want here the Trade explorer, than they report) and I must use they software, but they do not wish to generate a usable one.

I went to Dukascopy, where initially I gave up the join procedure, the second time that I took sedative too, but I had been fortune, because I got a very nice guy at service ( I am extremely satisfied with him). I've patched they desktop platform, but I am not using this one, just mobile.

Right now I am not altering the brokers, I am happy using Oanda's demo account, FF's commerce explorer and Ducascopy's account.

I'd propose like others to be profitable consecutive 3 month, than go with whatever broker you would like, if you blow up your account for a motive, than go back to demo 3 month and then fill account.

Europeans can have ECN account from 100 base currency at ducascopy EU, fill up with VISA, but carefully, because there are bank charge for fill transfer price to abroad and at witdraw the transfer price again. It is not for 100 usd and when your balance goes beneath 30 base currency than account shut and will need to fill up! In addition, the commission converted into PIP spread is considerable greater compared to Oanda.

Oanda news time: 10 pip spread on EU, 15 pip on GU, a couple of seconds or a couple of minutes.

Ducas EU It is good for news trades, for high timeframes trading, and beginning from 500$ at the least. They has some guarantee for money, which doesn't matter for 1-3k accouts.

In Oanda need to fill up at JP Morgan, that had some issues with authority and as I recall it's off-shore.


Decision my proposal it is: below 500$ go eat your nerves using Oanda's software, above depart they and if you are european go with Ducas EU, if not, than idk who's the ideal. At 5000$ go with Dukascopy (swiss, not EU).

Thank you for sharing. However, price quote is a personal propriety of Oanda becuase it is a market maker. Hence, the difference in breakout prices.

Conclusion my proposal it is: under 500$ go eat your nerves together with Oanda's appliions, above leave they if you are european go with Ducas EU, or even, than idk who is the ideal. At 5000$ go with Dukascopy (swiss, not EU).

For me a new brokerage doesn't have any chance to get my money. It has to be on market min 5 years to send to him $, but I do prefer 10 decades, even if he guarantee he will cover me. To many brokers come and go with ppl money.

One egy it's the way Oanda do: let the ppl trade 1 device, no spikes, almost clear everything, very low spread, they will attract beginners and they will lose money, but not instantaneous. Since they had a feeling of enjoying marginally longer, than limiting to 10,000 minimal units they will refill that they account. You may take a satisfied client ( well, at broker side, not in software ) that can bring his money in system and no demand advertising. I'd say this is a win/win situation, but in practice that they aren't using they software (software quality improper for me personally ), plus they encourage aren't as it should be ( it's acceptable, but not good)

Other is not a win/win, it requires a lot advertising to get new ppl: iForex style, it does not worth any remark, it is not a win/win. . .can't believe they are still up and able to pay those google advertisements...

Other one of the Ducascopy EU. Everything cost you money: fill account, keep commerce instantly, commission. Wekend is max 1:30 leverage, but has clear principles and I believe: I can trust him. Estonian state gives max 20,000 euro warranty for my money deposited there, so for sure they won't run with my few months economies they don't need, because they are taking from me . Even if 2-3x expensiver than Oanda at none news time, they've noteworthy iOS and desktop software (no Android for live account), support is good ( for me, at least today ), if I send a bug that they fix it very soon and so on. It should be ECN.

About 500-1000$ I really don't find the major advantage from Oanda to trade the minute 1 unit instead of min 10k.

Both of they've the drawback since no free web service to query the majors at least.

Not one of them has an acceptable software for Android system (and you can find tablets...)

None of these reports are so usefully as FF's transaction explorer.

that I think the thread started to be enlightening about traders opinion about small-sized trading environment and how to perfect it.

1- I agree with you regarding the significance of working with secured broker even with very small deposit. I know FX company is full of sc and bonzies. Also, I know the significance of having in your side the regulators and how much is essential to perform with controlled brokers with segregated accounts. However, I know some brokerages with great standing but not controlled. On the other side, I know there are some other brokerage went miserably and their clients suffers while the broker itself was long established and controlled. But in general, I concur with you on this point. . At least, when things get incorrect, traders loe some to stand with and recover some or the majority of their accounts.

Two - It was really good point once you set the light onto how Oanda utilizes a nice egy to reduce its advertising costs using the 1-unit best trading environment.

3- Oanda's support, reporting and software. . No doubt all need more work out of their side.

I have a commnt that my cent brokerage model is trying to find the very best of everything to attain win/win situation.
