    Hello araa,
Based on the examples you have provided above, if you simplified your entry method and just took every closing break outside of your IBR, you would actually earn more cash fading the breaks compared to following them. This is because unsuccessful evaluations are by definition more likely in ranging market states, and markets tend to range more of their time than trend ardently. This is why you are having.

In conceptual terms, the way to make this type of range break method work will be to be able to identify better than randomly every time a market breaks and trends strongly vs. when it is only testing a range and falls back again. 1 way of trying to attain this is to look to trade the response to the evaluation, rather than the test. You will on average get a favourable entry point but a higher chance of being correct.

It's not the worst starting point for a egy but it will require more refinement. Best of luck!

    Thanks for your ideas.

What is the avg amount do you suggest to begin an account with?
    Hi
If you're referring to this method in particular, continue as this is not ready yet.

The quantity you want to start off depends upon a number of variables such as your margin requirements amongst others. You are able to use a receptive a micro (lot) account and begin from there. It's difficult for me to put a down figure but I figure a500 using a leverage of state 200 on a account could suffice as a beginning.

Use the margin calculator to get an Notion of the minimum account balance that needs to be maintained for a Specific instrument/leverage throughout trading:
    https://www.fxpro.co.uk/trading/calculators/margin#

Note for the aforementioned margin calculator: 1 standard lot = 100,000 units and 1 micro lot (i.e. 0.01 standard lot) = 1000 units

Adding some filtering in order to avert the fake trades leading to the initial ranging market. Additional an MA.
Evaluating two kinds of trading: Aggressive (like in preceding transactions) and Trading on retest of IBR.

No shedding transactions with a minimal profit target of 10 pips
