    Oanda and quotinactivequot accounts

I have opened a live account in OANDA now and my trading design entails longer time-frames which entails starting places that sometimes last up 5-6 months based upon the market conditions and the price feeds being granted.

The first thing I'd like to clean is that will OANDA charge any inactivity fee on your account for not accepting any transactions on a given set of time-frame? And second thing I'd like to clear up is, how much do they charge if they do and what is usually the maximum inactive threshold till they begin deducting from accounts?

Feedbacks will be fairly much appreciated. Thanks

I Have had a Live along with Also a Demo with Oanda since 2007. I have left dormant for at least a year and neither were closed. I just recently started trading the live account and no real problems...
This is what I was looking for. Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it.

Pretty sure the solution is no. A while ago other retail brokers had a spit because Oanda published statistics claiming they had the highest percentage of profitable traders, but they had been including dormant accounts that had continued to aquire interest. Pretty sure many of those dormant accounts wouldn't have been in the black if inactivity fees were levied. Why not ask them however? Proceed to thier site and click on live chat or just email them.
I tried yesterday but the live chat was shut. Anyway, thanks for the comments. I knew I made the perfect choice with Oanda.

They said on their site that customer service could be unavailable this weekend.

I have had a Live and a Demo with Oanda since 2007. I have left both dormant for at least a year and were ever closed. I just recently started trading the dwell account and no real difficulties...
I have had reside sub-accounts with $0 balance for months and that they haven't closed either.

The answer is no. Some time ago other retail brokers had a saliva because Oanda published statistics claiming that they had the highest percentage of profitable traders, but they had been including dormant accounts which had lasted to aquire interest. Pretty sure many of these dormant accounts wouldn't have been in the black if charges were enforced. Why not ask them though? Go to thier website and click or just email them.
