thread: New broker required - any suggestions?

Right now I'm using FXDD and Oanda, both have their own advantages.
Hi mrv, I'm taking a look at new brokers at the moment and OandA was on my own listing. What problems have you had.
Just how much are you looking to deposit, I've seen some fine looking ecn brokers but with a min deposit of? 20k-? 50k. What's over my? 3000 limit!!!

The couple I did loe that could be ok, do not answer emails to the customer support (MB Trading, oanda, deltastock). That worries me as should problems arise with a live account I'd like to get a quick answer.

If you have had any luck could you post . It would actually help me.

I've been doing this for a little while, started with CMC ago when retail was just getting started. Through time I have utilized many so called market makers/traders, hell I traded with Refco until they went under.

Currently with MB and have had good results, you can have more than 1 fx account and transfer money between them which I like. The one thing I don`t like is their customer support, they always behave like your bothering them if you need to call to get something.

The company I'm really impressed with atm is Alpari.

Very excellent record, highly regulated and offering some pretty nice tools these days.

Currenex, MT and my favourite is the FX Bridge platform which permits fx options and money trading on precisely the exact same platform. The nice thing about this is that you may trade options in mini or standard sizes which could help with hedging your place positions.

They've actually come a long way in the last 5 years. Http://www.alpari-us.com/

Oh, just a quick note: The key to winning this game isn't getting your broker behave as counter party to your trades.

I am not sure saxobank allows hedging, not a lot of big names do. Up to now the best looking one is alpari uk - pretty much ticks all the boxes, except mobile platform. Also, I understand they're not ECN, therefore that I don't rush to make that last choice.

MB Trading. Learn how to use their Desktop Pro instead of MT4 if indeed you're serious. The platform may be a little overwhelming for novice or those coming out of MT4 (as I have) but they have exceptional webinars a thorough alogue. Customer service may be lacking a little at times. A conversation on MB Trading can be seen on this site under broker discussion. They are the real thing.
I use Multicharts DT with MB Trading and like it much better then MT4 and their homegrown apps, but that is only me.

Would be fine if some expertise traders could suggest some good brokers. Lot of brokers say they're ECN however the truth is it is hopeless. So a listing with great brokers will be fine.

    thank you.

Make sure their a true ECN broker, non invasive desk registered with a regulatory body. My experience using MT4 has left me feeling that platform is not anything more than a new era bucket store prefering to utilize the brokers very own platform. It can be challenging to find one satisfying your individual requirements. Best of luck. It'd good for you to post your choice.
