Seeing vastly different candles on 2 different brokers

I am using oanda on mt4 and TOS. When I started the audusd on both platforms the candles looked so different. ALthough price was mosly exactly the same but one chart revealed a doji whereas the other did not and it makes a large difference. Both charts were around the same time period.

There is no central market for Forex, Brokers have their very own prices ... within reason.

What timeframe are you talking about. It's entirely possible on daily, since brokers platforms have different occasions, so candles shape at different hours, and some of them have sunday candle, some of them do not, and that could give a different perpective on the chart

You do recognize price feeds don't need to be the exact same right? In reality, they will actually vary based on the combination of liquidity providers, dark pools, banks, aggregators a broker has. It's nothing you can do about it, but again, the price feed shouldn't vary too much.

    Guys here are they.

I asked around and someone told me the one in Oanda reveals it based on EST midnight therefore the candle opens and closes based on the times while the one in TOS reveals their candles based on if the US market closes around 5pm EST, therefore I suppose the conclusion of a day for that's at 5pm EST.. He also reccomended me to use the one showing the candles closing at 5pm EST on the one in midnight cos he says the hours after midnight that's the japan and OZ market are thought as dead moment.

    Here is the oanda chart

    TOS chart

Looks like forex_fairy confused by daily candle opening time. I think there's 7 hours gap between daily candle opening time for them to brokers.

How can I change the candle opening time? Is your TOS one preferred?

    Looks like two different charts

The candle opening period depends in the broker server period. I don't think that it can be altered.
