thread: Recent Strength indicator

Could anybody be so kind to inform me where and how to download it please?

As revealed from the first screenshot below, the attached version of this indior works good for me on Pepperstone MT4 build 950.

The next and third screenshots reveal the parameter settings used to produce the very first screenshot. The parameters that I changed from the default configurations have been highlighted in yellow; nothing else needs to be changed. Provided that you set ParameterFile into NONE, you should not have to download some other documents, apart from'Recent Strength.ex4'

As you can see, I've set TimeFrames into D1, hence just the D1 power is plotted. It's possible to later add extra timeframes by dividing the entries with commas, e.g. H4,D1,W1
But I suggest starting with D1 simply to begin with, to confirm that the indior functions properly. The indy has to load data for 28 distinct pairs for each timeframe from the br0ker's server, and this process can take a few minutes. Hence to see that a result more rapidly, begin with D1 only.

In case your br0ker has missing or incorrect price data, the indior might not work properly.

In case you can not get the indior to work properly on your br0ker's MT4, you will find a lot more strength meters to test -- see the green typeface in place #1.

Thank you so much for your Immediate Response. I have download the indior to the Indior folder as in the attachment but the indior doesn't appear in my mt4. All my indiors have a number 4 on it. Recent strength doesn't have it. I shall follow your advice and try to find a currency power meter on page 1 of this Thread. Pity, it's really a fantastic indior which may be used in various systems.

Are you sure you downloaded the indior into the proper folder? If I use MT4 menu option'File Open Data Folder' (see screenshot below) I get a long folder name including a 32-digit series in the trail (highlighted in yellow). I then put any indiors in the.../MQL4/Indiors folder under that folder.

Additionally, you want to exit and restart MT4 for any new indiors to be realized by MT4.

If that does not work, I am afraid I've run out of ideas. You'll want to try another strength meter.

Thanks for replying again. I am afraid it does not work. Having said that, I downloaed a Power Meter called CCF from ribbon 1. It isn't super accuarate but it may do the job. I was searching for a strength meter multi time period like this one but plotted in a single chart so I could have seen what the currencies are doing at glimpse at the 5m 15m 1h and maybe daily chart.

As you can see in the pictures that the yellow line crosses above the red at the 15m chart but in the 5m chart does not. It's ok more or less.

I am sorry that you could not receive the RS indy to work. But, it is not suited to crossover-based signs, since the plots are rescaled to values between 0 and 100, making any crossovers effectively meaningless. The CCF indior is a better alternative, anyway.
