    @hukam
    try this, it's excellent at drawing Sam Seiden style resource requirement zones. I liked this so much I supported the developer.

    The indior's truth is actually pretty great. The very first indior from to actually run on my platform. One another've attempted before - it didn't run and sessions. Keep doing the good work!

    Latest edition of CSM is attached to the post. The indior now comprises a'Trend Summary' attribute which is enabled if you set SummarySpacing into a worth gt; 0. The summary plots all the CSM values for every TF for a line chart, letting you quickly see which currencies are strong across many TFs (colored line is above the midpoint in successive TFs) or have become more powerful (colored line slopes upward). Vice versa for weakness. See screenshot (this uses the default parameter settings). By way of instance, one potential use could be: find a pair...
    Hanover,
    I'm wondering if something is missing? I installed the indiors you have from your post #541 as instructed. I've also set up the nothing. Am I missing some thing? Maybe something from an earlier version? My MT4 construct is 509. Thank you

    MK,

    I don't believe you're missing anything. It should be a case of installing the indior along with the font.

    This seems like exactly the same problem described in articles #547#8211;550, where the two hukam and djarum11 state that installing the font fixed it. There's possibly some setting in your computer that's different to mine and both theirs. Or maybe it is crucial to exit and restart MT4, or even reboot the computer, to have MT4/Windows recognize the new font? I'm not sure. Sorry I can not be of help.

    I'm working out egies in Excel, to spit out trade recommendations using other filters/indiors as well as RS. Cheers
    @everybody:
    Just a note that RS (should you set SmoothingSMA gt; 1) and CSM are indiors, in exactly the same way that moving averages arethey gather previous data and plot a mean of the info. To reduce the lag, you can always move to a lower TF, but you pick up the lag from a shorter cycle.

    Similarly, ROS lags in precisely the exact same way that stochastics do.

    Re can strength indys be used profitably? : The key underlying question is whether pairing solid against feeble on a particular TF will (normally, and everything else being equal) unearth longer trends than just trading a pair that is effectively randomly chosen. Then those indiors are useless, if the answer to this question is no. While I do not feel that is necessarily the case, IMO they function better on more TFs (H4 up ) and need to be partnered by a good egy for timing entrances and exits.

    I have a friend who posts the consequences of their daily strength/weakness analysis on a different forum. I've backtested a vanilla strategy where we just sum how many pips price has proceeded in his forecast direction on the pairs that he chose: 12, 24, 36 and 72 hours after his calls have been posted. By vanilla I mean there is not any complementary egy for time intervals entrances and exits, it is purely a test of bias. The result (over approx 1600 s/w calls across an 11 month period) is that the s/w analysis offers little better than a breakeven result over all 4 tests (12, 24, 36, 72 hours), although it tends to work better on certain weekdays (best: Fridays; worst: Mondays) than many others.

    quote OVERVIEW I attempted to alter Recent Power, but reached the conclusion that the calculation was overly distinct to readily accommodate an oscillator-based grid. Hence I have written a new indior, Recent Oscillator Power ('ROS'), as a companion to Recent Power (see the screenshot below). The calculation of ROS is currently predicated on Stochastic, but I will rescale its plot at another version, to allow CCI and RSI as alternatives. ROS is easier to use and setup; there are no parameter. Just attach the...
    Great job, as always, Sir Hanover! Adding your indi. Thank you.

    Just a couple of lines to say thanks so much for the Recent Strength Indior.
    It is an absolute marvel of programming.
    I expect others appreciate this could cost!

    The only similar software I've come across (for download... not online), is Mark Boardman's Apollo CSI.
    For which he wants silly money to get a monthly .

    Had a couple of glitches to begin with but thanks to reading your comprehensive replies to others, it was soon piled.
    Plus a bit of common sense of course. hehe.

    We are all in the same game of attempting to make some money from the Big Guys.
    And men like you reestablish ones religion in human nature.

    You shared with your ability and knowledge, you are that rare breed of Gentleman and Scholar.
    Most appreciated.

    Hanover,
    I finally made it to work. It just took two weeks. That occurs when you are technically challenged, just like I'm. Unfortunately, I'm not as smart as you my friend. I downloaded the fonts to MT4, but did not bother to think I needed to put in it in to windows until today. Two weeks later.

    Anyways, just wanted to thank you again for your continuing support of your fellow traders. You're a legend as I stated, but furthermore, you are gracious on your own contribution and generosity in helping us all. Thank you again David.

    God Bless.

    MK,

    Glad to hear that you have the indy functioning, and I hope that it proves to be helpful to you.

    Many thanks for your kind words and good wishes.

    All of the best,
    David
