For anyone having this problem, you should attempt to download from the paper clip symbol in the upper right corner of this ribbon. Click that paper clip and you'll see a listing of all the attachments in this particular thread. You may then see the most recent model of the RecentStrength.ex4 and download it as a zip file instead of the php.
I don't understand why downloads sometimes arrive as php files but it seems to be a common phenomenon for many people in several threads. Hopefully this alternative helps.
Hi Hanover,
This really is a superb indior, thank you so much for your hard work with this. Being a bit of a biff with the charts, I have been exercising this sort of institution manually for my purposes, and as you can imagine it has been time consuming and inaccurate. So I'm really grateful that you posted this....you've made my life a lot easier.
I've got one problem though. The currencies aren't displaying properly frames as you can see in the screen shot I have attached. I start off with 8 currencies at the Week section, then it drops to 6 at the Day section and down to just 4 from the Hour section.
Any idea why this is happening?
@yuan83: Flotsom is accurate. To find out more, please see my post here.
@flotsom: from the info you have provided, my very best guess is that it's a data problem. MT4 br0kers seem to have missing or poor data in their presentation platforms. I'm running exactly the same indy (i.e. the latest version that's downloadable from post #1) and don't have any problems, therefore I don't think its a program bug. Please refer to post #129 above, especially the paragraph which begins The following step is optional.... This procedure, though tedious, has to be performed only after, and will force data from all pairs/timeframes to be downloaded in the br0ker's servers on your PC. You will then also have the ability to see for yourself if data is missing or bad (e.g. spikes down to zero price) on any of the pairs/timeframes. When the data is correct and present, the indy should aggregate and plot it.
Once you first connect the indy to your chart, it may take anything up to 15-20 minutes to load all of the data that is available. That's another reason to force the data to be downloaded, in the way which I described.
My PC is currently away being repaired (I'm typing this from my wife's desktop). If the above does not solve the problem, then let me know who your br0ker is, and (assuming it is demo) I'll download their MT4 platform and investigate further for you.... When I get my computer back (hopefully by Wednesday).
[EDIT] It only occurred to me that the next possibility is that you don't have the parameters set properly. In the case below, the AUD plot will be an aggregate of all of the pairs recorded in the C1_Pairs_Wgts parameter. Then that would cause a problem, if those symbol names do not match those provided by your br0ker. This would cause missing plots for the currency on ALL timeframes. So it is likely not the origin.... But anyway, just letting you know that it's important to have all of this set up properly, so that the indy gathers data from all of the pairs provided by your br0ker.
___Currency1___ = AUD;
C1_Color = Green;
C1_Style = 20;
C1_Pairs_Wgts = AUDUSD,100, AUDCAD,100, AUDCHF,100, AUDJPY,100, AUDNZD,100, EURAUD,100, GBPAUD,100;
C1_ScaleFactor = 100;
Thanks, I went through the procedure for incorporating every currency pair to a chart and scroll through every time frame for several seconds as you proposed then reloaded the indior....hey presto, it works!
I am with Alpari UK for my charts. I don't know what the problem was due to, but your advice did the trick so thank you.
Flotsom, in case you're unaware of it Alpari UK are missing pairs needed for the Present Strength. This makes the outcomes obviously incomplete and inaccurate when comparing.
The pairs missing are GBPAUD, GBPCAD, GBPNZD, NZDCAD, NZDCHF. So both the AUD, GBP, CAD, NZD, and CHF becomes affected. I've got a account with Alpari UK.
I mostly monitor the USD, GBP, and JPY and I believe that FXCM provides the most accurate pricefeed. So I use these as a substitute, but then again they don't have NZDCHF and the NZDCAD. At least not on the demonstration.
Last, thank you very much for the fantastic work you've done
Interesting to find that one get exactly the Dollar Index with Recent Strength when entering the amounts from the Dollar Index formula to the USD (SmoothingSMA 0):
EURUSD,57.6, USDJPY,13.6, GBPUSD,11.9, USDCAD,9.1, USDSEK,4.2, USDCHF,3.6
The USD Index formula is:
DXY = 50,14348112 x ((EURUSD)^#8211;0,576) x ((USDJPY)^0,136) x ((GBPUSD)^#8211;0,119) x ((USDCAD)^0,091) x ((USDSEK)^0,042) x ((USDCHF)^0,036)
Hi . I am wondering if it's possible to correct. I am adding two pictures that shows before and after automatic refresh.
Another matter is I like to use the narrow lines, but when refreshing manually (particularly when the abnormal moves happens) from shing time frames it jumps back to default thick lines. Can it be possible to create it so this doesn't happen?
Sorry if I have overlooked previous discussions regarding these issues.
Due
I am trying to work out a egy in which I believe of these currency lines as indexes. The film is showing the daily movement .
The foundation for this sell signal is past S/R-levels combined with momentum indiors.
I've used the dollar index formula amounts cited in previous post for the USD.
For all those who are not so much into it also observe that on the previous apartment price consolidation both USD and JPY are falling more steeply than the GBP and away from price. This can be a warning of a bull breakout. Ideal for tracking apartment volatility markets.
Feedback would be interesting and valued
