The US University of Michigan consumer confidence indior was poorer than anticipated at 89.1 for August from 96.5 the prior month, which will often reinforce concerns over medium-term US paying tendencies. Unless Greenspan's remarks are surprising now, positioning will often dominate in the brief term. The dollar will probably be exposed to losses towards 1.2420 when 1.2350 breaks.
