European Union Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson announced that China would derive benefit into a basket of currencies including the euro, but in addition not just the buck. A comment might lend authenticity to the currency that has been losing value against the dollar in the face of politics in Netherland and France. US Treasury Secretary John Snow will discuss the problem in Brussels.
