the main point is guys forget that the news use it if you can but adhere to the specialized the news is simply noise and emotion keep it in your mind but look at the technical image on the chart. Keep the larger picture in your mind. E, I respectfully disagree.

Trading the news is much TOO profitable to overlook, if you know what you're doing, both on the spike and certainly on the retracement (can you say fibonacci?) . Or as says, play with the fade infant!

Probably not a good thing for noobs, especially those who have small accounts and fantastic fear. Besides, we all know news often creates fundamental trends utilized by TA (pun intended).

- It'd be great to learn how you were able to make money on the NFP - would you care to discuss?

I myself was in profit by about 30 pips before allowing it go against me a brutal lesson learnt!!! FXDm1,

Nothing personal but there is quite a history in regards to my sharing newstrading techniques, something I did publicly once upon a time, something which assisted many traders profit.

To make a long story short, the previous time I shared, some noob contacted my broker, initially calling then via email, along with my name listed in the cc. The noob told my broker how I was trading and asked how could that be. Ever since that time, that broker has shifted its coverage during news statements. For instance, you may no longer arrange buy/sell stops, let's say 5 pips away from market, within 15 minutes of an announcement. That was part of my egy (straddling) and it generated tremendous profits.

I've since adapted and improvised therefore that I continue to dominate but sharing my specific newstrading egies is no more an option. I encourage others and help tweak what they do but that's about it.

My former egy and trading doctrine in addition to the lengthy version are documented incliqforexbeneath an old thread entitled How Do You Trade the News? .

Thats fucked up Money on the way that noob would really call a broker and ask them to determine whether a trading style is appropreated or not, and esp with news trading, it is challenging enough as is for the small guy to create a living with the current conditions for news trading. Still that noob is a retard to really talk to a broker and give YOUR info out, which will be yours and yours only.

Well lesson learned with this non farms. The following one should be the same, I hope that there will be another revision on this months numbers. I mean 50k? That is fairly crappy if I do say so, so I believe strongly that there will be a revision, but my emotions shouldnt get in my trading mindset, which will totally destroy me if I bet on my feelings. Time to build up on my account agian.

My former egy and trading doctrine in addition to the long version are recorded incliqforexunder an old thread entitled How Do You Trade the News? . No difficulty MoneyMa$ter - totally know why you would not want to share. Some people simply can't help destroying things for others!

I am learning all of the time from my own adventures - that perhaps is the best way to learn sometimes!

And I must accept this last October 2, the allegedly 100 pips Long GBPUSD move before ISM report has been caused by TA?

WOW! Next time, I'll Consult a Numerologist, Geomancer, Tarrot Card Reader. But I'd prefer flipping a coin instead!

I started trading using TA but finds News Trader much more reliable. Currently, I am doing pseudo TA using Mouteki Carry Trade in between news.

Last Friday, Northfinance did not execute my order properly. After composing a complain , they fixed it up in my favor.

That is the 2nd time NorthFinance decided in my favor. This one listens and pick unlike GFT/FXCM. I defintely will stick to this broker even if they have some downs. dude. .
How long does it takes for them to react...? I mean NF...?

And that I should accept that last October 2, the supposedly 100 pips Long GBPUSD proceed before ISM report was brought on by TA? As I mentioned, trends are usually brought on by fundamental events. TA utilizes those trends for predictions. No one meant that 100 pips prior to ISM on October 2nd was brought on by TA but TA showed it coming and enabled traders to get in on it early.

But you go right ahead and flip a coin; shortly you won't have lots of coins to reverse.

Money, I believe they play a part a boost each other but what I mean is on the pound for instance you already had a toppping pattern TL break to the downside im looking the daily and weekly charts so that the news which may shake many traders is noise in comparison to the general bearish tone, even if the news is bullish price or TA needs to display bullish breakout features as confirmation. I know exactly what u mean, but I believe using both is much more effective but I favor utilizing TA its def a chy issue as far as what pushes exactly what the fundamentals or the technicals because if sufficient traders see a TL break or 123 shirt on a chart they all think short or long.

Your point is well taken fundamentals can shift trends, sometimes but not all the time... I believe pure TA price action can induce moves as well. Either or may add Fuel to the Fire or quench it for that matter...

I noticed the ISM move was only retracement of the previous down move on the pound the topping pattern had already formed it would have been a good add in opp for another leg down which is precisely what occured, in this case the NFP amount wasnt that good yet the dollar gained power.

It had been an exact 61 percent fib retracement in the pin bar up at 9050 on the 4 hr chart. It basically turned into a three wave down pattern from that point.

Again im considering things from a swing trading multipurpose perspective not trying exploit short term news driven moves. Which I view as sound in the total trend or market price arrangement.

Guess im in the wrong forum as this is more news trading but its interesting how news can assist develope or hamper a solid swing type trend.

My Fellow Newstraders,

I'm Astounded at the carnage wrought by NFP this month. And Mr. Trend my friend, you also? Say it ai not so.

Would anybody think I left a very, very healthy profit? As usual? My trading platforms? Despite one broker including a 20 pip premium (or was it 25?) on buy/sell stops? Despite slippage? 'Tis true indeed, true really.

It is why they call me MoneyMa$ter; everything I touch prospers.

Maybe I'll place my accounts jus' fo' da haters, doubters and naysayers. Posting accounts and consequences for countless dollars is trendy; submitting at my degree I think is tacky that is why I don't do it.

Pipscooper makes an excellent point. In order to adapt, improvise and control, one has to have confidence, without which thou shalt surely perish. MoneyMa$ter - It would be great to know how you were able to make money on the NFP - could you care to share?

I myself was in profit by roughly 30 pips before letting it move against me - a brutal lesson learnt!!!
