    2-Stage Universal Average Range Indicator

Many thanks (again!) To Zen Leow for my Impossible Indior back in February. I hope that I am just as fortunate with this new thought:

This indior calculates the ordinary range of one pair of back bars in pips(Stage 1), then compares a second pair of back bars to that number in proportions (Phase Two).

For example, the One/Two phase settings are 30/3. So first it calculates the ordinary range of the past 30 pubs IN PIPS, then calculates what PERCENTAGE of that range is used up by just the last 3 bars (including the current open bar).

So in use it might read 45/28 percent, meaning the last 30 bars had an average range of 45 pips per day, which the average of the last 3 pubs comes to 28% of that.

    Notes:
    1. That is an indior not an EA.
    2. It ought to work at any time frame, pair, or broker.
    3. The 2 variables should be able to go as high.
    4. Results are shown on the chart in the top corner like so: 30 BAR AVERAGE: 45 pips; 28% LAST 3 BARS.

    Many thanks in advance!

You are welcome! It still works great. Play with the settings and determine how the arrows pattern in your chart (however you need to watch for the market to reopen)

No feedback yet from some other developers on my new thought? ...

I think your idea is a great one...

I am not that much of a coder but I'll have a crack at it.

Hopefully someone will beat me too it and you will have better code.

Anything to get the ball rolling!

I've been around Oz 3 times and NZ twice. Melbourne is one of my favorite foreign cities. Where are you from exactly?

    Lucid! Very much appreciated!

Right now the indi reads 2070.00 in pips, 60.88 percent. I have a feeling that the point is off by 2 loions in that circumstance, with areas at the conclusion. 20.70 pips is similar to it. I would be glad if it just browse 20.7.

The next step is to add colored boxes round the 2 distinct groups of pubs. Since the 3 pubs are still within the 30 I feel this means the 2 boxes will overlap. It would make sense if the colours were customizable.

Please add a pliable buffer zone into the next (smaller) group of pubs. The group does not need one.

You may have already guessed this into the coding, but it must refresh with each new bar. The boxes and the calculations are not static, but proceed with the start of each new bar.

That is it. I can't wait to see how it comes out! Thanks so much for helping out...
