Will somebody please check today's GBP/USD M1 chart for datafeed and give me a second opinion. . To list but a few of the missing candles/bars, which can be MT4 server moment (i.e. GMT 3hrs):-
20.03, 20.04, 19.29, 19.37, 19.42, 19.46, 19.48
I discovered, since at one stage the current candle has been 3mins behind real, real time, then it suddenly ches upward, but with missing candle(s).
On each one of the trading platforms I have used previously, including TradeStation, in case there aren't any ticks/no price changes during any 1 min interval the pub will print a small dot or dash (-), indiing there was no price movement and then moves to another pub, at least leaving a difference between bars. In all instances shown previously, there are no openings in any way, so at a glance you'd never detect that the missing data.
That is happening daily and also with different pairs, so the M1 chart at least may be visully accurate in regard to MA's, patterns etc due to the often missing data. This is not obvious on the TF.
I reported this error for FXDD, but the tech man was of little help and is consulting his exceptional. He acknowledged the missing bars (and even assessed EUR and discovered several ) and confessed he had no experience of another platform, other than MT4 and couldn't say if this is normal or not!!?? He said in his view there were no gaps showing in the feed they get from various banks, so everything has to be OK and moreover 15,000 clients employing the MT4 platform, this is the first time he's had this question!!??
I doubt very much that there was no price change for 2mins, between 20.02 - 20.05 especially with GBP/USD. The technology guy did say that there was no difference between live and demonstration, both were showing bars missing.
It is a real concern, so I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who can throw some light onto this matter and especially anyone trading the MT4 platform, but maybe with a different broker and whether or not these openings in datafeed are happening or is it just circulated to FXDD.
I thank you in advance for any replies.
