Has anyone tried using metatrader cellphone? I think I am likely to find a smartphone and get into it shortly, want to hear some experiences with it...

Take into account if your broker lets you use custom indiors on the platform. You can run the default option indiors, but not habit nor expert advisors.I'm considering obtaining the Nokia Communior 9500i series, but prefer to install MetaTrader - complete version. Has anybody done this?

    Hello,

I use it regularly on my PDA. O2 XDA Atom. It is great to have access to charts wherever I happen to be. The platform is designed for the Pocket PC. If a version is for hands on, I am not sure. It is not possible to conduct the version the version that is mobile.

The charts are fairly good but are not as customisable as the windows version. It is convenient if you want access to charts when not in the computer though. As they enable trading by means of a PPC PDA GFT is used by me also.

Metatrader does not permit EAs or custom indiors on edition, it does not matter that your broker is. You need a pocket PC, it does not operate on smartphones and I'm pretty sure it does NOT work on Treo, although I put in a question about that on the metatrader forum.

It doesnt bother me that you can't use custom indiors, as long as there is the 30 principles and the MAs can be put, thats all I use.

Wizard - How is the trade execution? If it's fast and reliable I'm good to go.

I have been drooling on the sung i730 and bundled EV-DO plans from verizon, $80 a month for unlimited broadband data to a pocket PC. I wished to get the motorola Q, its glossy and lean, but alas its pocket PC.

Got the sung i730 pocket pc phone, using metatrader phone from MIG, demo account for the time being.

Execution of trades, alarms, everything is ideal and only as quickly as internet on my cable.

Perfect syncronization with MT4 on my home computer, on the exact same account an individual can have it running on the comp and on the phone, if I start a trade on my cellphone it pops up immediately on the computer, vice versa.

I confirmed that EAs and custom indiors aren't feasible on this version, but my trading platform doesnt use any. Currently up 50 pips in the previous 2 days of mild trading all from the phone.

Thanks for the update! I am extremely tempted to have a PocketPC phone as well, however I need to begin pulling more $$ each month to cover the costs I'm tempted to switch to Cingular to get the http://www.cingular.com/8125_consumer. I wish it'd work with Verizon! Please let us know if anything changes

No issue, I'll report my experiences here regularly. Perhaps they ought to make a new sticky for MT4, but not though, I dont think men and women are about it.

I looked in the 8125, its impressive. For me it came down to the fact that the majority of my friends and all of my loved ones are on verizon, therefore it made sense to go together, and verizon has EV-DO, which will be loads quicker than EDGE, then to top it off the sch-i730 was just accessible through verizon. That phone is sexy and fast.

I personal messaged someone else concerning the battery life on these devices. If you are going have them connected all of the time (like me) then you will require a charger at home, at work and in the car. My EXTENDED battery is full at 7 am when I head to work and its about 25% in noon if I don't plug it in at all and don't talk on the phone once. Not my phone they are all like that, and you'll receive similar results. (Sung is the only one that provides you an elongated battery with the phone at no additional cost, plus the normal battery)If I have the data/internet link turned off but the phone turned on it'd likely go for a minimum of three times without a charge. The battery is drunk by the information service but this ability is worth the annoyance.

    This is excellent information....

I was aware of the deficiency of custom indiors and EAs on the PPC, but together with people sitting on my home PC, I might be just nice.
I conduct my EAs with guide execution, so they are actually like indiors. IF my EA prompts my home PC for a commerce (utilizing the EA) will undoubtedly be able to see that pending order in the PPC?
One possibility is to set up with indiors which have SMS messaging capability.

I have been going back and forth between getting a laptop using a WIFI link to sit behind my desk at work or with the PPC... the PPC option is looking better and better

This is excellent news. I've ordered the i-mate K-JAM telephone which is a mobile telephone. Is anybody using it?

The only concern I have is that this phone isn't 3G, so I have to join with gprs. Will this be suffucient, or will it be too slow?

I've been doing some research on Fx trading. Surprised to see quite limited info on the topic

    heres some advice:

some fx brokers provide WAP trading, this can be done through the brokers possess wap portalsite, this fuction is on all WAP phones and doenst matter if you are running windows mobile or not.

MT mobile is basically MT4 on a windows pda, your broker isnt part of the compatibility image, just internet connection on a windows pda and MT cellular telephone.

Im interested if anyone uses any Nextel devices to trade wirelessly? blackberrry ? etc
