thread: Americas status in 2058

But as always I could be totally wrong. And lets not forget the U.S has most of the technology rights, Most of which are being used for military purposes or sitting on a back shelf in some subterranean bunker in a tiny city outside Roswell New Mexico. (where would you believe lasers came out?)
One hole in that theory is the truth that it ignores Einstein's theorising of photon stimulation and it's possible outcome twenty to thirty years sooner than that date.

As for motives past performance isn't a guarantee of future benefits . however, it is not smart to bet against your favorite. However, I do know we've got the best political system, individuals and a number of the planet's very best resources by which to sustain our run for a good long time. We'll most likely be the one, again I do not know for sure, to fix the energy puzzle. As the USA led in just about any modern endeavor during the previous century I think we'll lead again the current one. Check back in 92 years.
: If you actually read what I wrote, you will see I voted US as well, and for a number of the very same reasons as you. You appear to acquire defensive every time that I talk about your country, assuming I'm attempting to knock it out without reading everything I wrote, but I assure you it's rather the opposite. There are things I've criticised about America in the past, however, it was not a put down. I've great respect for America, but no place in the world is ideal, and we can all do with a dose of criticism from time to time.

: It is good to hear it from someone that actually lives there daily. I believe you are absolutely right in everything you mentioned. You didn't mention that the one-child policy is going to lead to an aging population that the market won't have the ability to support. The same thing is happening in all countries with low population growth, but in China it will be especially bad because the 1 child policy is government enforced.

For all those who haven't seen the latest Jim Rogers interview on BB, this is and it's well worth a look. He is basically saying the very same things I am about American agriculture, but he fears capitalism is going out the window, being replaced by socialism for the wealthy

I normally do not post in political conversations because, well, politics suck. I'm more of a action individual than a Let's debate about it individual; but I want to interject with some thing.

This remark, As the USA led to pretty much any contemporary endeavor during the previous century I think we will direct again the current one. Is as much away from the truth as could be. Even the poll asking which ONE nation is going to be the most powerful in 2058 isn't even a plausible debate.

Any history or military buff can attest to the fact that every major technological leap has come from a collaboration of efforts from all around the world. Be it that the chemical bomb, radar, combustion motors, laser technology, atomic colliders, etc.. Nobody nation can claim sole credit for one or more one of these technologies. We made technology from the Germans and Japanese in WW2 that allowed us to win the war alongside the Allies. The current technologies have been developed globally as development occurs in one state and research and testing occur in other nations. Medicine discoveries come from areas of earth typically unaffected by man and not generally here in the USA alone.

The nation strongest in 2058 will not be a lone nation, but a collaboration of countrys that rely on each other to succeed. That's the only feasible solution in a stadium full of more dangers than the World has known as a collective in history.

I have served for this country and know that we have not protected our freedom and those of our allies ....ever. In our indepene, we recieved assistance from France and rebels from Englands enemies in our endeavor. Nobody state can stand alone and some other state that thinks it can will just feel that for a short time before history repeats itself.

Now, if you would like to argue that the poll actually asks who are the most wealthy politically or financially, then that is a matter of perspective based on where you reside. The wealthiest country can't be decided easily as debt will really must be deducted in.

: 1) If you actually read what I wrote, you'll see I voted US as well....
    2) You seem to acquire defensive every time I talk about your nation....
    1) Perhaps you can point me to where you said you voted?

    2) I prefer hearing solutions to criticism. How about you?

Or once more, how about where the nation you live in. I asked that before and had not heard anything more. Too dull, yeah that most be the reason why since this nation is the only one with flaws.

    1) Maybe you can point me to where you said how you voted?

    2) I prefer hearing solutions to criticism. How about you?

Or once more, just about where the country you reside in. I asked before and hadn't heard anything more. Too dull, yeah that many be the reason why because this country is the only one with flaws.
    1) I didn't specifically mention how I voted... but it is clear from the statements I made should you read them - try the initial post. Anyway, I didn't say America was the only country with flaws. Here is what I said:
I've got great respect for America, but anywhere in the world is perfect
Does that sound like I'm saying America is the only country with flaws? Certainly not. Seriously man, there is no need to get emotional, particularly since I'm not insulting your country. Let us just have a fantastic discussion.

    2) The criticism I had been referring to was from a different thread months ago. I just wanted you to understand that simply because I had created some (constructively) criticizing remarks in that thread, so that doesn't mean I'm criticizing America in this thread. Different topic. From the other thread I did provide solutions in addition to criticism - the definition of constructive criticism I think - I do not really wish to get back on that topic here. This is a different thread with another topic. I simply didn't want you to bring together any grudges, particularly since there wasn't any reason to maintain one from the beginning.

As far as the country where I reside, the politics here are anything but dull, but they do not really alter the world quite much - hence my interest in American politics.

I hope I've made my stance clear finally. Peace man .

Thomas Jefferson's Warning To America : I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American individuals ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the public, to whom it properly belongs. Composed by Jefferson in a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802).

When the USA can go back to its constitution as set out by the founding fathers it stands a chance otherwise it is doomed, together with europe and china over for next 100 decades, Euro will probably be worlds next reserve currency!

.... Euro will be worlds next reverse currency.
I agree - I believe that the Euro will undo.

I understand what you meant but I do believe a reverse is forthcoming.
