The Bigger Picture Fundamentals and Resources

There are but there are not a lot of threads, if any, that talk about the fundamentals of the picture that ultimately pushes this market and place the trends on any currency. Most traders on here trade on the therefore and shorter timeframes fundamentals don't actually become involved, but it is still very beneficial to have the picture at the back of the mind of one.

There are many traders on here that are very knowledgable out of a fundamental aspect and they've got some superb data in their articles, although these articles seem to be littered across this forum. One of my goals is to bring all of this information into a single thread that traders can learn more about the fundamental aspects of Forex trading.

This thread isn't intended to talk about trading setups, egies or even charts. I am pleased with my technical aspects of trading, but I'd like to find a better understanding of how the fundamentals affect the trends of currencies. I do not profess to be a fundamental pro, however even though I have a good grounding in Economics, which I studied in High SchoolI would like to know more about this topic matter and how this is translated onto the greater timeframe charts.

I'm not a news trader since I generally stick out of this market during scheduled news events, however the accumulation of those news events will determine whether a currency will strengthen or weaken over the long-term. Rather than discussing individual scheduled news events and how they would affect price on the day, I would prefer to discuss the accumulation of news events and how they are going to affect the currency in the long-term.

So my main purpose of this thread is as follows -

    1. A resource of links which will enable folks to learn about the fundamentals and how they affect currencies.
    2. To talk about monetary policies set by different states and how they change currencies.
    3. To talk about inter-market relationships and how they change currencies.
    4. To discuss scheduled and unscheduled news events can affect currencies in the long-term from a bigger picture perspective.
    5. Anything else which involves the bigger picture fundamentals

I'd like this thread to be useful to beginners, so that they can understand the fundamental basics, as well as seasoned traders who can hopefully discuss how these can affect the currencies in the long-term. If it's possible, please supply links to resources that people allow them to further their research and can inquire into the subjects discussed. I don't expect folks to repeat the content that exists on this or other sites, but instead supply links and preferably a overview of the links provided.

Should you find some advice that has been posted by a different FF member, adapt it, add extra informational and resources into it, out of respect, please ensure that you acknowledge the original source or member in your article.

I expect that some of you will find this thread useful and informative, although others who intend to have an active role within this thread can further their own understanding about the ever changing market dynamics.

On a last note, we're all entitled to our own opinions, but if you want to get taken seriously, I suggest you back your statements up with well recognized sources.

I do not really want to know how big anybody's wang is lol.

I am am curious though, what is so magical about taking advice available and trying to profit from it. When I enter a transaction, once I enter the trade I seem to news to verify my analysis. It's possible to use advice after the fact to ascertain just how right or wrong you are.

If I am searching for a surge in risk appetite and that I enter a transaction. I'm going to be looking for some headlines on Reuters stating the MSCI spiked on investor demand due whatever market state sparked their interest....
    apples. oranges.

I am too tired to care about that, but it's safe to say I am not speaking about whatever you are speaking about.

Overview: when I hear about the television the dow jones transferred a spiders whisker due to abc I feel like taking a huge dump right on the television screen. Even if the market doesn't actually move they make up a story about why it transferred some miniscule percent... except it didn't friggin move whatsoever and it's all news-wankery.

only when it influences people who move the maximum cash the most times, else should they ignore it then so should we.

It appears to me that fundamentals is just one of several explanations and ways to make a narrative so that people who don't understand shit can seem as they have some grip on something larger than themselves. A little like making a man in the skies who controls the world we don't yet have explanations that are actual that are scientific for.
You dont think scientific explanations falls into this egory as well. Read the history of mathematics . Science is utlitarian, that's .

Fundamental has explanations, but technicals has more explanations.

Have thought of trying your hands option trading. It might suits you better.

    no my wang is larger!

Making a profit based on available information is exclusive to the demand for creating tales and magic for why things occur or do not occur.

I am awaiting the afternoon for a few retard to emphasise their feng shui is his or her edge.
Why cant somebody makes money based on available info. I think the major distinction is that available information is translated. Accessibility is important, but also.

You dont think news transfer the markets? I am aware there's an obsession with micro-interpretation of fart and wiggles of this market. But news does proceed the market(9/11, blight, japan earthquake, chernobyl, etc..)

Dddd: the market will move, or not move, with, or withoutnews. But newspapers and news broadcasts have room to fill so that they make shit up as though it means anything when it is filler nonsense.

You do not understand the standpoint I am carrying, and quite honestly my perspective is simply not that important either way and was never meant to be so forget it, and I am out. I must have kept my trap shut but I was half asleep and not thinking. peace yo.

This is the USDJPY weekly chart between 1992-1998 and now I've marked the week when the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Hanshin_earthquake, better known as the Kobe earthquake happened and how it affected this pair. It is also an event that induced Nick Leeson to eliminate Baring Bank's top notch. Unfortunately the article doesn't cite any references in the Economic Impacts section and as mentioned Discussions of Japan's'Lost Decade' tend towards purely economic...
Great ole Leeson, still making a buck/pound talking about his exploits and stress, lol amazing world we live in.
