thread: GoMarkets Discussion

Hello, Just to let you guys know who are not already aware GO Markets isn't connected with any other broker and has certainly not passed any customer details to any 3rd parties. GO Markets has within the past couple of weeks come back down to Melbourne and was based in Sydney. We're conducting a full and comprehensive review to ensure no other brokers since we have moved back are sending unsolicited emails to our clients and we sincerely hope that these customers who have been sent this email have potentially registered for a demonion or futher information straight...
1st of all, your action comes too late too small! I believe alot of accts HAD ALREADY lost faith and had shut their accts respectively! Your action just seem v.unprofessional! A moves of scam broker or even a 'belly-up going shortly' broker? No difficulties will be solved by whats more, simply!

.. .It is believed, BTN Lightning carries out manufactured arbitrage by flooding the server with a massive amount of trades.
How is little trades defined? I think LPs don't really like orders bigger?

These trades are designed to slow the server, subsequently, artificially creating an opportunity to trade in a #8216;rancid#8217; price. This incorrect price is passed to the liquidity provider where they can't replie in the market.
So how can these trades executed anyhow? Are you really saying the trades are executed in-house and not on the market?

I'm just curious really. Earlier I read people to be honest, I have never heard of BTN. I really do believe BTN is nothing more than a DDOS attack on your own server, but that still doesn't explain how this can be only found after months (based on from what I have read here, as months-old trades have been cancelled?) .

    Hi,
I've had phone calls/emails out of
I certainly didn't contact them past either. The man I spoke to had an accent. He said he used to work for Go

Due to the uncertainty I pulled all of my money from my account - no issues (done within three times)

I left my account available, to see what happens...

and Move had the same parent company and address up till a couple of months ago. This may have shifted going be what the Rep said previously.

I don't think it's worth going with as both have comparable bad reviews in FPA because of same troubles.

What the Go rep has just described is HFT, and it's rampant for the insto's, banks etc.. Some state banks try to prevent it, I say they utilize it.

Funny, I was reading http://www.financialsense.com/contri...mf-global-gold and idea of this Go situation on a tiny scale:

Next time the banks want money they #8217;re not likely to get it. What they #8217;re
likely to do is allow them to take the money in the depositors. Currently
this#8212;Cyprus#8212;wasn#8217;t the very first. The first was really MF Global. The law is that
your cash deposited in a brokerage house will be segregated in the
house. If the house loses cash, your money isn't supposed to legally be
taken, under CFTC regs, to meet the creditors of their brokerage house. What
occurred to that? They just stole everyone#8217;s cash#8230;...
Not saying that is related to what occurred, it makes you wonder.

quote Can you replie that email/pdf settlement which you obtained? You can block out information. Why on earth do they want you to continue trading if they went through all the trouble of adjusting your account since you had previously used trading methods?
I am not permitted to copy/paste the exact wording, and have since obtained a better offer (roughly 50% of erased profits) that doesn't need me to exchange lots with GO Markets.

That said, and it is very important to remember, GO Markets has no way really proven any type of impropriety or mispricing, even about two weeks after the truth, and hasn't provided any evidence at all in support of their allegations, which is precisely why I am refusing even this new offer until such time that they do. They could go on arbitrage nonsense daily and about DDoS to cover for this cancellation of profits; if they can not supply evidence at the end it means nothing. You do get to make a justifiion and confise millions in profits without substantiating your claim in a minimum, particularly when you're a regulated entity.

As before, in light of what has gone on so far, and the mysterious ability of their 'liquidity suppliers' ( which they claim to be after the suit of) to somehow reverse trades months after settlement, I feel that what actually occurred is that they, or a connected entity having an ownership interest in GO Markets, acted as counterparty for my trades, and the trades of other people who had their profits reversed; this was the true 'liquidity provider' involved (they have notably refused to reveal the identity of their reversing providers). Said counterparty naturally ended up losing, and instead of accepting those losses, it employed the powers of the executing broker (which they own) to reverse those trades in order to ify them.

    Hello layzars,

How can you get up to the point? I know I have to wait before making an official complaint with the FOS therefore that I am wondering in the event that you've done to get them to give you back part of your profits. They haven't provided me with any proof of the report. In addition they took more profits than that I made and when I asked them why they did they opted to ignore this every time I asked them.

Thanks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone who has sustained a loss from the activities taken by Go Markets to reverse profitable trades without providing any proof is interested in exploring the possibility of starting a class action law suit against Go Markets, would you please PM me.
