Hi KGB,
I have more info I will share on what is happening. ATG traders were notified of the next:
In researching connections and performance of consumers, we have discovered several factors which can significantly increase the likelihood of #8220;lagging prices. #8221; These variables are:
1. Flash 10.1- Flash 10.1 recently pushed through an update which affects the operation of a #8217;s appliions. This has had a negative impact on for several traders. In contrast users of flash 10.0 have not experienced this issue. While we work to update FXCM Active Trader to adapt the newly published Flash 10.1 update, you can even remove the issue in the meantime by eliminating Flash 10.1 and downloading Flash 10.0 instead. You can do that by following the directions at the end of this email. Please review the information found on this website (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html) in addition to within the Flash #8220;read me#8221; document to ascertain the version of Flash that's most acceptable for your requirements.
2. A number of Progr/Charts #8211; Running multiple appliions and/or charts for protracted periods of time can raise the CPU of one#8217;s pc. While enhancements in our charting algorithms have improved functionality for many, factors like the amount of software used at any moment, use of software, and computer specifiions may lead to poor performance. To help cope with this issue please see item 3.
3. Computer Specifiions #8211; Wireless connections, older PC#8217;s or laptops used, low functionality, and very low memory have been common themes with a few client#8217;s who have experienced lagging prices. Therefore our recommended specifiions to trade using FXCM#8217;s Active Trader platform are:

Adobe system requirements: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/

Uninstall Flash Player 10.1
Before installing another Flash Player we recommend uninstalling the currently installed Flash Player and restarting the machine.
If you previously installed a version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer, then you may be prevented from installing a previous variant.
You can uninstall the participant only by using the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller. Follow these steps to download and run the proper uninstaller to your own system:
1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:
#8226;Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (226 KB) (updated 06/10/2010)
#8226;Mac OS X, version 10.4 and above: uninstall_flash_player_osx. Dmg (238 KB) (updated 06/10/10)
#8226;Mac OS X, version 10.3 and under: uninstall_flash_player_osx_10.2. Dmg (1.3 MB) (upgraded 05/27/08)
#8226;Mac OS 8.x, 9. X: uninstall_flash_player.hqx (33 KB)
2. Conserve the uninstaller document, picking a loion at which you can find it - your Windows Desktop, for instance. Macintosh users may need to start or unstuff the. hqx file.
3. Quit ALL progr. Assess the Windows system tray to be certain no progr are still running. If any progr are using Flash Player, the uninstall will complete but some files may not be deleted. These progr can include web browsers like Internet Explore, instant messaging clients like AOL Instant Messenger, standalone SWFs, and projectors. If you erroneously leave any app open, close all progr, and run the uninstaller again.
4. Run the uninstaller. This may eliminate Adobe Flash Player from the system.
Note: Internet Explorer users may have to restart their computers to eliminate all Flash Player files. If you use Internet Explorer, then Choose the Show Details button in the Flash Player uninstaller. If you see any log lines which begin with Delete on Reboot..., you must restart your computer to complete the uninstall process.

Ah interesting, I thought I had seen that process before, well egg on my head for impliing FXCM here. I will edit the post.
The plugin-container is a firefox process (since 3.6.4) where the browser isolates all plugins (so that when a plugin crashes it doesnt take the entire browser app with it). You can test this again using Internet explorer and a previous Firefox version and see if its really regarding the plugin-container.
Ran a test that was similar. I left ATG running and open for 12 hours, machine is an A64 3000, 2GB RAM, XP SP3, Firefox 3.6.8. Granted it is an older CPU, but the machine flies for internet trading. OS is fully tweaked for speed efficacy.
Quotes this morning were an hour live (alas, I forgot to screenshot it, but repeating the test ought to be somewhat simple to do).
I believe I've discovered the matter. When ATG launches, Firefox launches a separate procedure called plugin-container.exe. From the very get-go, this method consumes 20-40percent of available CPU cycles. As the procedure proceeds to operate, CPU cycle requirement can raise even greater (I saw upwards of 80% by the 12-hour jog ).
This matter is probably Flash-related, see Jason Roger's post below.
Thank you for the advice, after this, I have lost the little faith I remain in them, I have an account with no founds, I presumed in refund it but after read this I favor close it. Thank you , we want traders like you for denunciate bad practices of the jungle of scammers that is Forex.
