Why can I trade Forex? Since I am ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that this is the best business in the world.

    There are:
    1. No rent of offices (that is, NO coping with Realtors, Lawyers, and government departments. . .man, what a pain in the buttocks). Also no office fit-out costs

    2. No employees, (person, unless you have had large numbers of staff based on YOU because of their paypacket each week, you cannot understand what a massive pain in the ass it is. They ALL want you to solve their problems)

    etc..

I definitely agree with you Jacko....

Due to all of the years I spent going around in the army and then truck driving, I'd have to say, for the time being, I trade the Forex for a simple reason; my spouse deserves this company can provide and more!! She stuck thru the hard times and today, it is her turn!!

Oh and, to spoil the grand children only that much more!!

Why can I trade Forex? Because I'm ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that this really is the best company in the world.

    There are:
    1. No rent of offices (that is, NO coping with Realtors, Lawyers, and government branches. . .man, what a pain in the ass). Also no office fit-out costs

    2. No employees, (man, unless you have had large numbers of personnel depending on YOU because of their paypacket each week, you cannot understand what a huge pain in the ass it is. All of them want you to solve their issues)

    3. No stock or inventory to buy. No shrinkage (theft of inventory) and no slow moving items. No massive amount of funds tied up in stock

    4. You may borrow as much as you need (by raising your leverage), WHENEVER you want. (Try running a big company and going to the bank for a short term loan for $10 mill. . .it is going to take a month minimum). I'm investing $10-12 mill all the time and that I get it immediately through the brokers by the use of leverage.

    5. If the company becomes a hassle for whatever reason, you are able to shut it down (that is, close all positions) instantly. . .and re-open (initiate new rankings) whenever YOU need to re-open your company.

    6. You can scale your company to whatever size you would like simply by increasing/decreasing your rankings.

    7. Absolutely minimum paperwork. Only ship your 12 month summary Profit and Loss Statement for your Financial Accountant for tax payment purposes.

    8. You can trade from anywhere in the world. My wife and I travel the majority of the year. (take your notebook or PDA or whatever else they will develop with and commerce whilst sipping a nice drink as close by as your local cafe or so far as a few open air cafe in some remote little town in beautiful Italy while you see a bocce match at the park.)

I can keep telling you greater of the benefits of this company, but suffice to state. . .this is the best company in the world. I run a multi-multimillion dollar company from my laptop.lt;! -- / message -lt;! -- sig -
    Jacko,

Sounds great to me. I am just starting but I can see the benefits. However, what are the disadvantages?

    Jacko,

Sounds good to me. I am just starting but I will see the advantages. However, what are the disadvantages?
    Hi Newbie,

Hmmm. . .what would be the disadvantages of the business of trading Forex?

For me personally there are none. I'm older (early 50s), retired, financially well-off and experienced (20 years) in trading shares real estate and commodities. I have also had much experience in company (haing sold two companies for large amounts of cash) Although I exchange large volumes, the financial risk at the margin is relatively small. Also, I have had incredibly good luck in this market and have made a substantial sum of money in the last twelve months (therefore I'm now playing with the Forex casino's cash).

For one thing, the situation may be different. You're most likely young, working, eager to produce a lot of cash and inexperienced. That's a dangerous mix.

Most young traders here all suffer from the simple same issues.
    1. There is a tendency for newbies to PANIC when the market goes somewhat against this is because of:
    a. Likely afraid to eliminate cash
    b. Probably undercapitalised
    c. New to business....therefore probably unsure about your own abilities
    d. Unsure the trend lines, 50% Fib line and round numbers are as dependable as they are in practice.
    E. Probably inexperienced in business and investment from a practical aspect
    f. Probably unsure who to talk to for advice

    2. The next issue is they are all searching for the Holy Grail There is not any mechanical system that's a Holy Grail...I have been watching the contortions of a trader here who is trying to establish Elliott Wave is your answer... BS !
However, allow me to tell you a secret. . .there is a Holy Grail. Each time you look in the mirror, you will see it. It's you.

    3. The thing which kills new traders is that the uncontrolled punting on everything that goes two ticks.

    4. Stop thinking you need to outsmart the market.
You don't have to..this company is quite simple if you leave your brain at the door....just follow the trend = follow the money =going with the flow = barking with the large dogs.
Stop thinking it can not be that simple....it is!!!

5, you need to detach yourself emotionally in the cash. . .that is the hard part. . .stop seeing it as cash, and look at it as numbers.
Also, don't play with cash you can not afford to lose. . .or rather, set the money aside and tell yourself it is already lost. (You MUST detach yourself from the cash

    6. And remember, Leverage can make you a fortune. . .but leverage will kill you quicker than you believe. . !!

Ultimately, I'm not saying anything different to that which all of the fantastic trading books state. . .but it is amazing that every newbie wants to take on the market and wonders which express freight train flattened them (and destroyed their trading accounts).
Most people are trading for the adrenaline rush in place of the boring idea of just maximising profits.
